As I was playing Liberal Crime Squad(v. 3.09) it stopped working. Here what happens. I start up the game. Then it shows that no squad is selected. Then I push tab. I can cycle around normally but if i push tab to much it stops working. Can anyone help me?

To be honest you're better off upgrading to 4.04 anyways .

The latest version of Liberal Crime Squad on the Bay12Games page for it is 3.09 because that's the last version Tarn Adams worked on. But he released the game as open source and there have been many updates since then. LCS 4.04 is the most recent release, and I suggest trying that. There are many old crash bugs that have been fixed in the years since 3.09 was released, plus lots of new features and balance improvements. For example, assault rifles now fire multiple shots per round, there is actual body armor in the game, you have many new character creation options, and you can get a rival Conservative Crime Squad to fight against.

so I should just abandon the version 3.09 and play the newer one? Well I want to try to defeat the old version first before I take on the new one. So anyone know what to do to fix my problem?

If by "it stops working" you mean the game crashes or otherwise breaks, it's unlikely anyone can help you -- that's why I suggested the new version, 3.09 had many crash bugs that have since been fixed. If you're just looking for how to create a squad after your starting squad is dissolved, then you can press R to review Liberals, and then Z to form a new squad.

Maybe someone should ask Tarn to put a link on the LCS download page in

to the latest release, to avoid confusion? A hell of a lot of people seem to be unaware that it's not the newest one.
