We're half-dead, missing two people, and have three damaged spawners. Also, the farm is ruined and theres no food.

Now you're up to date here.

Badass first Turn in Pixel Station: Hyperion is up. Only took me an hour to type. >_> I only finished cleaning the house at 11:50 PM actually, lmao. Took a break, listened to music, munched, and then got to work on Turn 0.

I hope you guys enjoy. ;) Its a masterpiece introduction menacing with spikes of suspense, if you ask me. :D

Turn# Cave
(I forgot which turn it was)

Date: January 15th, 2786

Into the cave the Nomad Farmer went,  and its passengers scavenging through the rubble. One of them was killed by a rockslide, but one of which that revealed an old half rusted, but viable, town. It had fungi growing wildly among its former patch of farmland, a massive cargo hold full of globules of acid barely suspended in midair by a failing old tech containment system, and a half dissolved chunk of metal sitting in a pool of acid nearby, which was found to have come from the now ruined remains of an interesting choice of weapon: and acid globule launcher.

This is certainly an ancient hunter town of sorts, but which town to repair? If R&D could reverse-engineer the acid globule fabrication, this could be quite the deadly vehicle, perhaps even take on Arkangel and win (massive size difference and lack of ice skis notwithstanding.) Chief Engineer Edio doubts that the field will work for much longer without repair, and if it does the town will dissolve completely. Recovering its farm is not entirely out of the question either, though a large portion of it is going to have to be tossed out to do so. Either way, the fungi were enough to stave off death for today, which is good, and you could use the dead pixel as fertilizer if you can retrieve him.

I think we should try and salvage the doomtown, because firepower.

And it has as much food production as the Nomad would have if fixed anyway.

FUCK YEAH!

FINALLY!

I've been wondering which Pixel game would take my idea of establishing a permanent base of operations first. :D

DEFINITELY fix the Hunter town. In a cave, it'll be difficult to spot, and that acid weapon will be fucking epic, though it'll lower the amount of salvage from an enemy.

...Oh my fucking gods...

ACID GRENADES.

...Anyway, REPAIR THE TOWN!

Note: Do not try to modify (besides repairs) the doomtown until full power is restored to the containment system. Its normal redundancy will not retain enough power to sustain it in its current state, and then you will have no cargo or ammo.

Would it be possible to cobble together a bigger town out of the two?

Also, posting to watch.

Not with the little metal we have on hand. We barely have enough to revive the Hunter Ruin of no name yet.

Also Ehndras, they aren't acid grenades, theres no explosion. these are literally globs of acid contained in a force bubble long enough to impact something, thats why you need the reverse-engineering to make more.

Well, I'd suggest we get to fixing the containment system then.
I'll work on repairing the doomtown's farm.

Bad idea, we NEED the mobile habitat to travel, trade and hunt.

If this town is here, there may be a mine nearby. All of this metal and the supplies had to come from somewhere.

Btw, Aklyon, PM me some info if you can. I'd like to know where you got the idea of Hunters and acid weapons. The enemies in my scifi novel happen to be called Hunters and Harvesters (two sub-types of the Ach'remoc Horde) and one of their unique weapons systems is comprised of a nano-organic blob organism that coats itself in a metal-corroding acid. Pretty much, a living acid weapon. If you'd like to incorporate that into your version too, to make the backstory bs easier on ya, I'll gladly supply some info of my own. :)

The doomtown is a mobile habitat.

What? Oh, god damn it. :(

I still think a permanent base of operations would be a better idea, with the men going out in trade missions and raiding parties using smaller habitats to make sure we don't have a "Hey looks its a missile, I wonder where its g-" *BOOM* "Well, fuck. There goes our farm, cargo, engine, chassis, food, farm, supplies, weapons, fuel tank, crew, habitat."

Cmon, no one else likes my semi-permanent base of operations, a citadel in the mountainous caves? I'd much prefer a swarm strategy rather than a Machu-Pichu turtle strategy. Disable one habitat? we've got more, and our supplies aren't compromised.
