But what kind of alarm? it could be an emergency evac alarm for all you know.

And the towns already know we're poor as dirt in comparison, the guards probably won't bother you if you roll around in the farm a bit first.

But again @Edio: if the turn requires it, people will have the guns. I'm not doing personal inventory for 10 people.
