As with a real-life economy, buying AND selling prices will deflate as the value becomes next to worthless. Then they'll try to offload their excess goods on another market, starting a cascade of lower prices throughout an entire region, until some genius turns it all into fuel, which is used in a much higher ratio than food. :P

Better to convert and sell, than sell pure food.

With all that extra fuel, we can make napalm (incendiary) grenades as well, pretty easily. Hell, give me $50 dollars and drop me off at home depot and I'll make you a few. :P

It's only been one turn. One unit of time. The "buying" market hasn't reacted yet, but they're basically going "Woah, stop giving us crap we don't need!" by imposing a tariff, or artificially lowering prices.

Also, you guys sold HOW much food? Eeesh! Before we do anything else that could be disasterous in less than pristine condition, I second Edio's pledge for becoming Chief Engineer. Until a higher ranking is established, I vote that we follow his instructions.

It'll take 2 turns to reach where you think the town is, and I said it was in a desert. you're not going to make as much food as before until you're out of the very hot heat. Skip to then, or do you guys want to scout around the traders and see if they dumped anything you could use?

I support the idea of thinking of ways to convert food into fuel, though I'd just as much like to see if there's a chance we could mine at some point. Better to produce our own metal than buying.

I also arm myself with a rifle, cos it's cool :P. (that and if we're ambushed I shall save the day! and stuff!:P)

Before we leave, I'll try and purchase a single unit of metal if one cannot be scavenged from around the garbage. Then I'll work on the oil press.
