Well, among my many bad ideas, I come up with one *(I think) is good
I'm adding the dwarf gods I can find to the list, as well as any one's posted in this thread!
Simple enough, any interesting God's, post description and/or pics
(I may also add a bad pun... Sorry about that)
Gods now all have their own respective God section:D
Polls: Every week 10 Gods will be placed on the poll list, and favoured gods will be voted for. VOTED FOR LIKE NOTHING'S EVER BEEN VOTED FOR BEFORE.
Hopefully, I'll be able to have an almost total list of the forum's favourite Gods!
(Top 3 poll winners will be kept onto the next voting stage)
Urist won the first poll with 7 votes, for a total of 15% of all votes (rounding up)
The denizens of the forum favour war, fortresses, caverns and mountains - 26/10/2011
Urist won the 2nd poll with 9 votes, for a total of 16% of all votes.
The denizens of the forum still favour war, fortresses, caverns and mountains - 28/10/2011
Urist won the 3rd poll with 11 votes, 46% (rounding up) of all votes.
The denizens of the forum still favour war, fortresses, caverns and mountains - 03/11/2011
Dong Dong won the 4th poll with 2 votes, 17% (rounding up) of all votes.
The denizens of the forum favour pregnancy, birth, children and Dong Dong - 04/11/2011
Urist won the 5th poll 3 votes, 33% (rounding down) of all votes.
The denizens of the forum favour war, fortresses, caverns and mountains again - 06/11/2011
Urist won the 6th poll with 6 votes, 27% (rounding down) of all votes.
The denizens of the forum, are obsessed with war, fortresses, caverns and mountains - 10/11/2011
An unusual tie between Oral Spicy Muffins and Istrath SilveryTaxed the Wealthy Luxury of Bejewelling, both combining to a total of 4 votes, 43% (rounding up) of all votes.
The denizens of the forum favour food, and wealth, a beautiful combination - 11/11/2011
Urist wins the final total poll system, with 9 votes, 30% of all votes.
Just goes to show, you can take the Pantheon out of the Beard, but you can't take the dwarf out of the insane.
The denizens of the forum favour war, fortresses, caverns and mountains - 22/11/2011
NEW POLL SYSTEM (apparently) introduced - 22/11/2011
The PINNACLE Gods[Urist, quite possibly the god of all dwarven gods]
Well I found these ubertastic dwarf gods.
I imagine Toben is praying for the support of Urist, and she is deciding whether or not to melt his brain/and or give him the weapon to destroy all elves.
Volal, possibly the only dwarven God exempt from Urist's claims.
Volal and Urist. Gods of wealth, jewels, fortresses, war and caverns. WHAT COULD BE MORE DORFY???!!
Btw, DO NOT OFFEND VOLAL!! Throw gems and goblins in magma every now and then ;]
Managed to find her, and I (King DZA) must say this may very well be the most dwarfy goddess in history.
Tarmid is a deity of The Tongs-Roughness of Entangling. Tarmid most often takes the form of a female dwarf and is associated with mountains, volcanos, fire, metals, war and fortresses."
Sarvesh Canyongorges is the god of the Tongs of Adventuring, a dwarven government.
Sarvesh is the god of volcanoes, fortresses and wealth. Sarvesh is depicted here as a hoary marmot. Sarvesh is laboring.
Nelas was a deity that occurs in the myths of The Thin Bell. Nelas was most often depicted as a female dwarf and was associated with volcanoes, fire, and luck.
Kudos to King DZA, Ubiq and Reudh for finding different denominations of the same god perhaps?
Probably the god of book keepers or something ^_^
The more peaceful of the Gods of course.
*Edit, I had a mayor who worshipped Azkob. No pushover, grabbed the nearest masterwork adamantine spear and kicked ass.
Apparantly peace, generosity and kindness makes gives you martial prowess.
Ilon Mangehog was a deity that occurs in the myths of The Room on Toning. Ilon was most often depicted a male dwarf and was associated with depravity and fortresses.
Ilon Healing Mangehog is the patron God of the grand forums, a mystical dimension rumoured by dwarves to be full of the crazy, heroic and legendary dwarves, where even Gods walk amongst dwarves.
The Big godsGod of tasty food and feasts, a pinnacle to dwarfdom! kudos go to Virodi for this delicious find!
Shared this one when I discovered it over on the What's Going On thread, but thought it would be appropriate to repost here. Tholtig has one of the most diverse listings of associations I have ever seen that accurately describe fortresses. He lacks magma, and fire, but not all of mine make it that far anyways.
Also, he is most often found in a triumphant pose.
Well, when you stop by the mountain of Yor, please respect Tholtig and kindly step out of the way when you see him frolicking through fields of corpses amidst mighty fortresses. ~Loud Whispers.
Kudos to Andal!
This disgusting god that resembles something like a Dwarf Nurgle, represents impermanence, decay and carp tons of miasma.
No fortress is permanent, no dwarf immortal. This guy is the soap that cleans your infections.
Kudos to Table Turning for this blighted find!
Tig Ibrukerong "Tig the Ashen Biles" Dung the Ashen Biles
Tig the Ashen Biles as a deity that occurs in the myths of the Stable Standards. Tig was often depicted as male dwarf and was associated with creation, rebirth, death, blight, disease, and deformity. Twin brother of Momuz, Tig the Ashen Biles is responsible for bestowing rot and reincarnating the souls of slain animals under his domain. All who offend him suffer horrible mutations or succumb to fleshy rot.
Onol Ber Doren "Onol the Earth of Diamond." Mountain the Earth of Diamond.
Onol the Earth of Diamond was a deity that occurs in the myths of The Thin Bell. Onol was most often depicted as a male dwarf sat atop a mountain of diamonds and was associated with mountains.
Etur Tobulavuz "Etur Canyonmines" Boulder Canyonmines.
Etur Tobulavuz was a deity that occurs in the myths of The Thin Bell. Etur was most often depicted as a female dwarf and was associated with minerals.
The Boulder is... conflicted about what minerals should be placed in the earth. Sister God of Onol, without Onol and Etur, the lands would die, veins would no longer flow with the lifeblood of the grounds, and demons would be free from their confinements. Kudos to Ubiq for these rich finds!
Atham Hustledroplets the Laconic Satin was a deity that occurs in the myths of the Stable Standards. Atham was most often depicted as a female dwarf and was associated with art, misery, and torture.
She was once a great craftsgod, legendary and unsurpassed in her skill. The only thing that she did better than her arts were her conversations, speech skills usurpassed by any. But one day, Stettard Taxed, dwarf God of nobles, stole her speech skills, leaving a Laconic God, tormented by her beautiful arts with which she could not describe, and she developed a keen sense for madness, and expressed her words through inflicting pain on others.

INTERMISSION TIME (Unique Gods)I've shown this god before, but he is probably the best god I've ever seen in any of my games: I give you Ral Amusedtaxed, god of Russian Roulette!
Kudos to Scriver for this chance find!
Do not mix with chance. Or logic. Or rainbows.
!dnif citoahc siht rof Lord Drullard ot sudoK
Zoluth Furyfist the Stormy Razor was a deity in the myths of the Infallible Standards. He was usually depicted as a dwarf and was associated with revenge.
Combat Furyfist the Stormy Razor is quite simply the best name ever and being the God of Vengeance makes it even better.
Do not offend Zoluth.
OR.
THERE.
WILL BE.
CONSEQUENCES
(Kudos to Ubiq for this.... Well I can't think of a revenge related pun right now ^_^)
"Belal Slaughterfrenzy the Persuasive Sword is a deity that occurs in the myths of The Guilds of Trade. Belal is most often depicted as a dwarf and is associated with fortresses, war and chaos."
Commonly depicted in half glimpsed visions and engravings, Belal is found in triumphant poses, usually afield large expanses drowning in his slain enemies. Also, for that matter worshipped by Dwarves prone to rage, and of course Tantrum Dwarves.
Feb Luslemeb "Feb Puzzlingsucks". Arrow Puzzlingsucks.
Feb Puzzlingsucks was a deity that occurs in the myths of the The Thin Bell. Feb was most often depicted as a male dwarf and was associated with fate, nightmares, dreams, the night, and the stars. Kudos to Ubiq for finding Urist Krueger.
Stettad was a deity that occurs in the myths of The Thin Bell. Stettad was most often depicted as a male dwarf and was associated with wealth. Stettard bestows nobles with visions of mandates which can save, or destroy the world.
No kudos to Ubiq, for finding this horrible God.
Here's one of my dwarves' favorites: Istrath Silverytaxed the Wealthy Luxury of Bejeweling. She's the goddess of, you guessed it, flaunting your Dorfy Wealth!
I love this artifact dedicated to her, the only thing on it thats NOT made of the most precious resource in the game, is the image of the goddess of wealth.
Beautiful find.
*Cries*
Kudos to Urist McDwarfFortress
Okosh and Koshosh are deities of the sacrificial swords, an ancient group of Dwarves accused of the occult, but in actual fact they were just so damn awesome, and everyone else was jealous of the gifts their Gods bestowed upon them.
Okosh was a male dwarf associated with youth and fame, and Koshosh was often depicted as a female dwarf and was associated with art and beauty.
Minor GodsI found this guy when I looked at my lazy arse woodcutter (who was just lying around with a bruised leg - no other dwarf deemed it necessary to help him. Said he was an avid worshipper of Midil. Bet he could be jealous for some working legs right now ;P
Dwarf God of the sky, commonly prayed to too get over cave sickness. Kudos to Ubiq for this spaceous find!
Ad Marember Astis "Ad the Pristine Earth of Dunes" Sun the Pristine Earth of Dunes.
Ad the Pristine Earth of Dunes was a deity that occurs in the myths of The Thin Bell. Ad was most often depicted as a female dwarf and was associated with the seasons.
Commonly favoured amongst farmers. Kudos to Ubiq for this seasoned find!
Stibmer Enorodshith "Stibmer the Blue Clam" Shore the Blue Clam.
Stibmer the Blue Clam was a deity that occurs in the myths of The Thin Bell. Ritaswas most often depicted as a male dwarf and was associated with oceans and salt. Kudos to Ubiq for this salty find!
A baby is born, so I check out his preferences and it says he is an ardent worshipper of the goddess of muck.
'Nuff said.
Here's Zuglar, dwarven red squirrel god:
[spoiler]
*Sigh*
If you want trees, salt or oceans, pray to this thing.
Kudos to King DZA for a wtf
In my horrific haunted glacier biome, rather fittingly the last survivor was the original expedition leader, who worshipped Ilid, the god of Discipline. Perhaps that's why he survived where others were torn to pieces by ice wolves, broken by the cold or murdered in fits of rage.
Arch Nemesis's of the Dwarf PantheonMany legends tell of an unknown Dwarf God searching for the lair of Dong Dong, in the hopes of destroying Dong Dong.
*Facepalm*
Little is known about these Gods, contributions would helpThis sums everything up nicely.
Juvenile perhaps, but I went 'tee hee hee' when I read about a god of STD's.
Guys worshipped a male worm man god of marriage, oaths and disease.
