You find yourself aboard the IFS Zephyr, high above the Stonewall mountain range...The Zephyr, a passenger Zeppelin. The ticket must have been expensive; the other passengers are all in formal dress and they are cared for in luxury on the flight. Waiters had out glasses of wine and other small nibbles to people milling around in groups or sunk into leather arm chairs.
A shockwave sends people and objects flying to the ground, panic begins to set in as a distant roaring is heard. Two one manned flying machines race past a window, turn back and strafe the zeppelin again punching holes in the unarmed passenger carrier which quickly dips losing altitude.
The two machines carelessly piloted, fly back for another pass. The leading machine scraps the zeppelins left propeller but manages to stay on course, its companion however collides with it and explodes. The remaining machine banks to hard and runs into the helium bag of the zeppelin, igniting its self and the passenger zeppelin on fire.
Some where on the passenger deck of the zeppelin, a robed elf clings on for dear life as the Stonewall mountain range gets closer and closer…

After the opening cutscene, we're greeted with another, WE SURVIVED THE ZEPPELIN CRASH
! We pick our way through the burning wreckage and hear a voice calling for help. Pulling at the twisted metal plates we see a trapped gnome who begs us to deliver a ring to “the boy” saying that “he’ll know, what needs to be done”. He then blabbers something about him doing unspeakable evil and having to do what he was told, the work almost being completed and a very cryptic warning of impending doom.
And with that he breaths his last words. The sound of footsteps alerts us to an approaching figure! A robed man walks through the smoke towards us…
===============
This guy, he blabbers on a lot before making ANY sense...
After talking and finally snapping, he tells us he is Virgil a monk of the Panarii religion. A religion we apparently made? :O
After a lot of not making sense, we learn we are in fact a REINCARNATION of the creator of the Panarii religion. The "Living One" is prophisised thusly "The Living One will live again on wings of fire." Or reborn on wings of fire, he's not very clear.
Also, we're supposed to fight a great evil... how lovely. Though oddly, the scriptures say nothing of a dieing gnome and a ring so I guess they don't everything right do they? Virgil explains that there is an Altar, which will explain that passage clearer and that Elder Joachim, Virgils mentor, will explain the Panarii religion in greater detail. With that, Virgil joins our side.
After all that talking, there's a few things to do here at the crash site. After dispatching a few ailging wolfs we reach a cave entrance.
Dispatching a few rats we come to an odd scene. A spirit of a dead bandit stands before us.
He explains he was cursed by an evil monk, his partner driven mad and killing him. Apparently killing the monk who cursed him will free his tormented soul, also he will tell us the location of a stash of riches. Why he was cursed and why the riches where stashed away he will not tell us, pleading that we free him from his torment.
Exiting the cave and heading north we see one of those strange flying machines, what's left of it anyway.
The body of an ogre lies in the wreckage, odd seeming as they could not of built such a machine though that explains why they destroyed them selves in the attack. The ogres face bears an odd mark and has a weird necklace... I think this will be important later.
Down in the south east we see a Kite Shaman guarding a chest! LOOTS!
4 harm spells later, we loot his corpse to find a kite sword. The chest contains goodies too.
189 gold and heal poison GET!
All done! Heading south we come across the altar Virgil was talking about.
Sadly, that's all we get as there is still no information on the EVIL ONE!!!!!
Continuing on our way to shrouded hills we bump into another elf.
I don't trust him, though as I try to question him Virgil pipes up.
He says he wants to talk to the elf, but I'M THE AVATAR! Wait, wrong role playing game... we tell Virgil to shut his cake hole basically.
Inquisitive bugger he is, we ask the questions here buddy!
Well I still don't like him... I'll tell him to get lost.
Creepy tone indeed, but get out of my way, I've places to be religion to discuss!
HOW RUDE!
Harm spam latter, we find him carrying the same necklace as that ogre pilot! Something is a afoot!
We now have a choice.
Do we investigate Arbalah's house, the house pointed out by the tormented spirit? Or go to shrouded hills to elder Joachim who could shin some light on the situation.

Also, I've level'd twice so that's two points to spend on upgrades, what get?
