Nobles don't immigrate?
« on: October 23, 2011, 07:16:50 am »

I've been thinking of starting a new fortress and try out some of the new stuff, as i haven't played for like half a year.

I was looking at this page on the wiki just now: http://df.magmawiki.com/index.php/Noble

It says at the bottom in the bugs bit that nobles cannot immigrate or be appointed, including the dungeon master.

Is this still true? I can't have a fortress without dragon guards =[

I have searched in the bug section, but didn't find anything. Sorry if there is something on this already.

Edit: I meant to put this in gameplay questions, although I guess it does involve the wiki

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

Check the mod forum. I think somebody might've hacked up a hotfix.

The wiki should say migrate instead of immigrate. Right?  ???

Immigrate away from fortress, migrate too fortress.

Immigrate's right. Immigrate to, emigrate from, both forms of migration.

Somehow, that fills me more with dread than anticipation.  It's like being told that someone's exhuming your favorite grandparent and they're going to try to make her into a cyborg stripper.
