P.S.: No customizing to dwarf name/profession name was done.

Was this peasant a child that grew up in your fortress?

Children turn into peasants when they grow up regardless of skills and often gain grower levels from harvesting plants.

Completely unrelated to the subject, I like the way you've set up your workshop area. I think I understand more now why some people say they're walling their workshop with a failed mood...  :)

I have the same bug, only that _my_ peasant is legendary, i.e. I got a flashing peasant symbol, looks like a "legendary peasant" on first sight, very confusing.

They probably got a strange mood as a child.  It happens sometimes.

This is most likely because the game probably grows them into peasants no matter what. Try drafting then undrafting them to make the game to a skill check again to determine their profession. It should work.

Yes, I have a legendary stonecrafter child, who does what he pleases--generally harvesting and parties.  And he flashes as a legendary should.

I think you could have a legendary peasant if the peasant is legendary in siege operating, swimming or any of the social skills.  Though I doubt that would be the case.

Nope.  Legendary siege operators are... legendary siege operators.

This is bug #670.
