Ok, just one question, I can't seem to get the save to work, do I make it it's own folder or what?

Rename the "Save" folder to regionX, where X is a number that's currently unused. Either that, or you didn't unzip it yet.

I just had that path-thingy undug to focus dwarves on digging other things. You can dig out everything except those five 2X2 square pillars. That was my original plan.
