Oh shoot forgot to post save...

http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=5114

there it is... im pretty sure its that...

Some notes:
-Stos, our friendly neighborhood forgotten beast, is hanging out in the central lake
-We need more rock pots for booze, wood is too precious to use for barrels
-The Array will prolly kill your FPS, that should stop once it fills up, let it fill, don't immediatly reconnect the pumps, its too unstable with
 power output right now...
-F1 goes nowhere really, F2 goes to cavern level, our trade depo to be specific(its really a temporary thing) the lever thats right of the
stairs seals off the fort from outsiders from the surface (meant to get the top roofed...) F5 goes to The Array, a tad sporadic in its output
but can prolly operate a decent sized pump stack in bursts
-Current mayor likes iron and animal traps, and i think high boots too...
-Should prolly dig out organized rooms for industries, and GreatWyrmGold, i dug your dining room(i think it was one?) out, although i added
 my own twist to it

This is great! Any chance I can sign up? Dunno if I can run it with the array on though: how big is the map?

Well, to shut it off i believe just flip all the levers to the left position, the nice thing is you can turn off sections of The Array, not just 1  on/off switch... however i don't have a master on/off switch so... you need to hit at most 10 levers, just 6 are actually in use, although flooding the rest will definately help out later

The map is 4x4, and well, there's still one slot open. Will I sign you there?

Thanks!  I tried a prior save and it ran at about 30 f.p.s.  I can handle that :)

In no particular order, and with few indicators to those who just arrived and/or didn't pay attention, here are some thoughts:
-----
That dwarf was one tile away from being screwed. Also, that doesn't apply to everything, building destroyers path to your buildings, extra sensory things will beeline for your dwarves, and some don't need to see dwarves at all, they just know where your dwarves are.
Hey, don't justify why the giant cave monsters should have been charging at your fortress, just be glad you were wrong.
-----
Hey, GreatWyrmSilver is awesome! Too bad Anderz died...and to a giant bat...hm...Anderz sacrificed himself for Iton, maybe?
-----
Miners make rock artifacts. I think there is some kind of bug that morphs artifacts to iron occasionally.
-----
That large column of rooms was supposed to include a dining room, an office, and a bedroom. Note to self: Wonder idley what the surprise is.
-----
If you have far too many dwarves, there are several possibilities for removal! An idea I have is to drop them down that shaft I had dug for the future waterfall in the future dining room.
-----
I don't think that 70-odd dwarves plus an FPS-killing power-generation area will run with positive FPS on my netbook, which is my DF computer for some personally-based reason.

My mayor and everyone in my guard are blind.

Doesn't stop them blindly hacking everything to death.
[They don't seem to parry weapons a lot though]

The best part? They won't go blindly charging off at goblins until you tell them to!

The hilarious thing is, they don't attack anything unless they bump into them - If I don't tell them to move somewhere, they just stand around xD

Anderz didn't sacrifice himself... I sent him, swore he could handle it, and the bat mostly WRESTLED him to death... :(
Not strangling, other stuff... prolly one of those moments the PRNG hates you... :(

I don't even know what I'm looking at...
(In regards to the insane part)
if you mean the bottom pic of that post, thats about 1/2 of the width of one of my maps, theres an island to the far left(not shown in pic) that I'm building a bridge to... it's going to be 27 tiles wide, walls around the edges for a frame (NOT flooring over the entire thing) and maybe a battleship with a ton of ballista/catapults if space allows...
