Turn 10
Wow... just wow, I spent probably about 7 hours on this drawing so you guys had best stay in this place for like a week now and explore every damn nook and cranny to fully appreciate my work
nah, just kidding, if there's anything I've missed I'll try to catch up with it for the next update 'cos I got a funny suspicion I accidently skipped some stuff, also my friends leave tomorrow night
(Nikki and Wijnand who are awesome
) but on the plus side I'll be doing this a bit more again...
Date: 19th January 2786 6 AM
When the mechanic mentions that you can get the oil press in return for a spawner Valican, Ehndras and Kirby all fall head over heels to try and give theirs away, in the end Valican presses the most and so you earnt yourself's a nice supply of fuel, to actually use this Kirby gets some of the spawners moved and extends the farm.
You also agree to lead the shuttle settlement to it's mother city known as Machu Pichu, who offer to provide fuel, you fail to mention you could have done this for yourself and instead store the surplus food. For the most part the journey is uneventful however ((
IMPORANT, there is a
top secret player slot available for the first person who PM's me about this and asks to join, it'll be an intresting sub-plot and I'll PM back details, you can do this if you can do this if you already have a player too
) on the second day of travel a strange hovering robot flies into your habitat, it was about the size of a large domestic cat and you vividly recall the drone focusing it's cold lens onto your face before it short-circuited and fell to the floor, the shuttle settlement reported a near identical event.
On the way there adwarf upgrades the engine increasing its fuel efficiency and in addition everyone gets together for a meeting regarding the construction of a mounted gun for the fortress, you realize to do so you'll have to first create a base for it (9 metal, 3 days) which will probably be able to contain resources or something, Kirby raised concerns as to whether there'd be enough farming space with this being built however Hubris with a background in the engineering aspect of farming suggested having artificial lights and farming space inside which however these would use 0.25 fuel per day.
You then realized for a weapon system with you current level of technology sophistication you'd need another room above that containing a smaller engine, console and fuel tank as well as a turret to swivel the gun barrel (12 metal, 1 console, 8 days), once that was complete for the attachment you looked through a range of possibilities such as:
A massive harpoon (6 metal, 2 days, ammo: 5 metal but 5/6 chance of being recovered, 0.3 fuel, damage per shot (rough+relative): 25)
A basic boring cannon (5 metal, 2 days, ammo: 1 metal, 0.5 fuel, damage per shot (rough+relative): 15)
A gattling gun (8 metal, 3 days, ammo: 0.2 metal, 0.1 fuel, damage per shot (rough+relative): 2)
A missile launcher (7 metal, 1 scarcium, 6 days, ammo: 1.5 metal, 2 fuel but 1/3 chance of completely missing , damage per shot (rough+relative): 40)
When you arrive in Machu Pichu it's early in the morning and it's residents are just now waking up and trickling down to begin their day-to-day activities, you figure that the governor will probably ask to see a representative of your habitat whilst the others are free to roam around.
