Forgotten beast, misc. Object user.
« on: October 19, 2011, 11:42:05 pm »

The Forgotten Beast strikes The Grey Werewolf Wrestler in the left upper leg with it's (<<Large Spider Silk Trouser>>), shattering the bone!

This is pretty much how it spent the past five minutes wreaking havoc with a couple of consecutive sieges. What the hell FB? Dead now though, it was a towering crab made of Elvan (A type of white rock, found in devon, modstone)

I just got an adventurer killed that caved in multiple heads and shattered countless bones with a pair of fluffy wamblers.

Misc. objects are often the most terrifying of weaponry. Especially trap components.

Of course, dual-shields+dodging+a little unarmed combat skills is the way to go if you don't mind making your fights long and drawn out. :P

I personally LOVE wrestling skill.  In an average fight as an adventurer I'll be attacked by 6 goblins, and I'll dance around them until one gets too close.  Grab throat, strangle, pass out, grab helmet, move away, bash in his head with his own helmet!

With my modded-in wolf-morphs, the final stage is biting the head and shattering the skull, usually, which is very rewarding!

Indeed.
Since modding genitals into the version I use for adventure mode, I prefer biting off all those extra bits and letting them bleed to death.

In dwarf mode, though, Urist McBadass the legendary shield+misc. object user was pretty awesome, taking on half a siege at a time and bashing skulls left and right. Miss that MP fortress... Funny how the clowns got stuck on a door they refused to break down (and which wasn't blocking their path to anything.) after murdering 99% of the populace

Funny, I enjoyed caving skulls with my genitals (even more difficult since I play a girl).

Also true. Playing as a woman can be humorous, though. More things to lose with my setup. I actually think I do so more often, too.
I once got all my characters genitals removed in quick succession (a horrifying coincidence of AI sadism...) by a cave pig sow. Who wrestled them off. With her breasts. Somehow. Using the limb tag with mammaries was a ridiculous decision on my part. Of course having the entirety of your vagina ripped off in one bite, without any other damage sustained in the process, is entirely unrealistic anyway.

But enough of that discussion... It's rather creepy right now after reading this very saddening article about a Russian woman's death, especially knowing wild animals will usually go for the genitals... I should really try to break away from being a sexual sadist :-\

I have a question is the token for Misc. objects just [MISC_OBJ]?

Nope, MISC_WEAPON. All the skill tokens are on the wiki, actually: http://df.magmawiki.com/index.php/DF2010:Skill_token

Coincidentally, I believe bashing skulls in with squirrels is considered misc object.  There is as yet no [MISC_ANIMAL] token...

Speaking of misc. object(ive)s, I need to write a 5-page ethnographic essay of any community of my choice. I choose you, Bay12!
