Well, I'll be doing most of the combat (It'd take ages otherwise) but you can send me directions before the battle.

As for number of factions, I'd say 3 to 5? Also, LosBoccac, it it beyond me why you'd want less population.

Well... I'd like to join this, but I've never played the game before. And if its that complex, I should probably get some experience with it first. I will of course ,watch this like a hawk.

Join jackass, i wanna stab you in the face

Corporation Name: Nalian Exports
CEO Name: Tearakudo A'Valti
Corporation Type: Asteroid
IC Breakdown: 110 mines, 110 construction factories, 11 research labs, 40 fuel refineries, 20 financial centers.
Starting Planet/Asteroid: Eros
Fleet Focus: Meson Gunboat
History: The focus of the company has always been in the delivery of what was needed and where. During the worse times it was the supply of raw materials for large fleets of warships, and in the calm(er) ties it was often simply relocation of workforce. In recent times, however, the competition of locations had gotten to the point that relocation off-world had been the best idea. Nalian Exports now resides on the lush, mineral rich hunk of rock known as (433) Eros.

To be honest I didn't get how much one could spend at start. My line of reasoning was that the fleet is already quite costly and I don't really have that much land factoryes anyway. I guess I could just multiply starting stuff by two or five.

I'm also assuming that you can purchase ship later on from other companies or npr.

By the way: everyone wellcome. A word of warning, first: I don't think this corp will see much fighting apart running and screaming. It's more about commodity trading and hopefully salvaging later on. Well, that's the setup, at least, things can always change. I'm looking for a one player-one vote model to run the corp

This one looks very good, i'm looking forward to the complex interaction and politics between all the different factions.
Keep up the good work sheb :D

We've got 4 factions so far plus Earth, which I think is a right number. I think I'll cap it to five corporations to keep it manageable. I'll start the work of creating the universe tonight.

LosBoccac, I'd suggest you take an Asteroid Corp. Much more suited to what you can do. If you want, you can trade 50 IC for a contract to sell Maintenance Supply to the military for wealth.

CG, you're currently at 520 IC. That's more than what you're  allowed. Please edit your turn.

Still some modification to do: 1 lab is 20 IC, not 5. And cargo aren't counted as module, you get a few of them for free. Module are Sorium/Mine/Terraforming/Salvage/Maintenance.

Players: Boksi, Iituem, USEC_OFFICER
Corporation Name: Cthonic Combine
CEO Name: Nwabudike Morgan
Directors: {name}; {name}
Corporation Type: Asteroid
IC Breakdown: 100 automines, 200 factories, 5 labs, 35 refineries, 20 financial centres, 10 ordnance factories, 20 fighter factories, (3 commercial spaceport, 2 military academy)
Modules: two 3-module salvagers + two 4-module harvesters + three 12-module asteroid miners
Other: Orbital Hab for 750m, 500m pop.
Starting Planet/Asteroid: Ceres
Fleet Focus: Massive, overwhelmingly armed carriers with carried railgun-fighter complements.  Fuel efficiency a priority.
History: As the twenty-first century progressed, large mining conglomerates continued the trend of forming first cabals and later combines.  One such major corporation, based in Greece but including several major African companies, pioneered advances in both orbital habitat construction and extra-terrestrial mining techniques.  When it moved its headquarters from Athens to the planetoid Ceres, it renamed itself the Cthonic Comine in honour of its terrestrial sources of wealth.

Recent mismanagement of the Combine has led to the sacking of most of the upper management and its replacement by fresh blood.  Only time will tell if the new CEO and Directors can steer the company back to true glory.

NB:  If the bracketed IC are not permitted, just another 5 financial centres will do.

I keep telling you, it's Chthonic! From chtonios - χθώνιος - CHI THETA! And then omega nu iota omicron sigma, but the important part is CHI THETA! CH-TH-onic.

What do you mean, that's petty?! It's the second-most important thing in the world, right after the difference between Boski and boksi!

The rest is fine, except that I find a 136:265 mine:factory ratio to be rather silly. I'm counting asteroid miners as mines and refineries and other factories as factories, in case those numbers confuse you.

I'm just trying to find a fitting name for myself. Currently going through a list of greek names.

Quote from: Boksi
Corporation Name: Chthonian Combine
CEO Name:
Corporation Type: Asteroid
IC Breakdown (You choose the focus of your faction. A mine, factory of any kind, financial center or refinery is 1 IC. A lab is 20): 170 mines, 170 factories, 15 refineries, 5 financial centers, 2 labs.
Starting Planet/Asteroid: Ceres
Fleet Focus:
History: The Chthonian Combine is the mining corp. Forget the others. We are the combination of Old Earth's greatest mining companies. We were the first to mine an asteroid(the records don't show anyone having done it before us). We have been at the forefront of Trans-Newtonian technology since it's inception, and what's more, we did it without needing any labs! (We must have, since the records definitely don't show us having 30 Earth-based labs before they were all catastrophically destroyed by lax safety regulations and total lack of concern for human life). We place great emphasis on customer relations, on employee satisfaction, and on italics. In short, the Chthonian Combine is the company you want to deal with.
Other:

I like Boksi's writeup better, so we'll use that one.  =B

Should I use your module list? Or will you write a new one?
