I updated the date, good catch. There are so many places to update the version number and release date I am bound for forget one, or five.

Updated Version to add a couple new tools and fixed a couple of bugs. See OP for tools detail.

To ignore the "You have struck" messages, it marks all veins as "discovered". I have no idea what it will do to the game logic, but I have a suspicion that it might effect strange moods. It would be great to get a comment from Toady on it's side effects.

Can I make a sand tile with this? I'd like to cheat and add in some resources I don't have, but don't have any example tiles to copy the settings from.
 I could backup my fortress and start a new one in a new area, reveal and start writing down tile values, but has anyone already got some written down?

Hey I'd rather a new version!

I guess I could start a new fortess with a copy of DF, somewhere with sand, and try to get the settings required from that, but to be honest I've got no idea where to start. There are a lot of attributes per tile!

Snoman, I don't believe that the sand is located on a per tile basis, so copying tiles probably won't do it. I don't know for sure, but it seems like the game keeps a list of biomes, and in the biomes it keeps a list of soil types for that biome. I already have the master list of soil/stone/gem types found (you can look at them in the SDK Properties tool, named Materials, click on "(Collection) and press the little "..." button that appears next to it. Changes made will not save ). This information will let me write a tool to change the stone type of veins.

Found bugs with Digger (which is otherwise very useful): when you apply a dig pattern and one of the designated tiles is empty space, it crashes the game.
Also, it designates already-mined tiles to be mined again (or carved as stairs). Then you get spammed with "inappropriate dig square" messages.
