I need everyone to make sure they have the correct checksum for playing: BJLT

This is the checksum for Divine Wind 5.1. It can be found at the bottom left after starting the game up. If you have 5.1 but not BJLT after restarting your game, delete your eu3/map/cache folder then start EU3 up again. If this doesnt work you should reinstall.

A legitimate version is not required to have the correct checksum and play online.

We won't be waiting for people faffing around with checksums on the day, so make sure you fix it before sunday!

Yes, you get a different checksum unless the host also plays with Steam ofc.
I think there is a way to have a normal checksum with Steam, but I just have a Steam copy and a pirated copy.

For other users with a Steam version, I've found this thread. I haven't tried the solution yet, as this is not the rig I'll be playing the game on, but I'll try later tonight and report the results.

I don't have much time on here, so I ca't be all fancy and quote you, but whomever is playing Byzantium, I'd be happy to carry out that naval support deal, but I will not be there for week 1. You'll have to wait, or get the ringer to help you. Sorry.

I would prefer no one plays with the Papal State. If you really wish to, I won't object however.

As you can see from the first post, this game is now limited to 20 players, since there's going to be enough logistical nightmare as it is.

Rakonas, sorry, but the Papal State is going to cramp out Naples and Milan too much. You may play it if you wish but nobody is going to stop either of them eating you within the first few years.

I would advise you to pick a Russian nation since its pretty empty up there (Novgorod, Muscowy, Ryazan, Tver, or the Golden Horde).

Alternatively you can play as our ringer which we still need, in which case you would be playing whatever major nation needs filling (England France Castille Austria etc etc). If all the major nations are filled you can choose to play either an absent person's minor nation for that session, or an AI nation. However you would need to play any missing majors first and foremost.

Since nobody wants to help me iron my hosting issues out, I'm looking for a host.
You will be in charge of hosting the server (you may need to do some port forwarding) and uploading the saves between rehosts. Its preferred that you are a dedicated player too so we don't have to change around when you aren't here.
I'll still be doing most of the other admin stuff, such as there is.
We'll need to check that people can join your server today or tomorrow.

As a reminder, play is starting on SUNDAY and 3:30PM. This means you should be in chat and ready AT THIS TIME. If there's one or two minors missing when everyone else is ready, WE WILL BE PLAYING WITHOUT YOU.

Settings will be:
Difficulty Normal
Spread of land/sea provinces: Normal(50 years)
No lucky nations
No historical anything.
Everything else normal.

In case people don't know how to reset their checksum to normal:
Quote
1.Go to the following directory: ...\europa universalis iii\map\cache
2.Delete every file in that cache folder and then start up EU3.
3.Exit EU3 and start it again, you should now have the correct checksum for your version.

This doesn't 'fix' a steam checksum though, but there probably is some other solution for that.
