My magma glass furnace isn't working

So, I've been trying to make a magma pump stack. At first, I constructed lots of green glass corkscrews and green glass tubes. Noticing that the pumps were being built much more slowly than I constructed the materials, I stopped. Eventually, my supply of corkscrews and tubes ran out, and I needed more. However, whenever I designate something on my magma glass furnace, the designation disapears right after. No announcement apears declaring the canceling of the designation. I checked, and there magma under an open space of the furnace. Also, the furnace is full of raw glass and bags, and one of the bags is used to store seeds. I'm not sure if that is relevant. Anyways, does anyone know what is going on?

I can only think of a) no glass or b) the magma below is draining out? When it gets below 4/7 the furnace stops drawing power.

My furnace has glass in it and the space below is 7/7 and not flowing.

...you don't make things out of raw glass.  That's like someone giving you  a shattered window and saying "make this into a block".  You make sand into items, you don't cut glass like that.  Never seen glassblowers melting sand and turning it into an object?  Raw glass is a gem type.

Oh, that explains it. Now I have to figure out what to do with all of my glass.
