Thinking quickly, you appear from the shadows when they start singing about something called Macavity and knee the nearest one in the groin. You make sure to do it only once, this time, to avoid accidentally neutering him. Everyone immediately stops singing.

"What's all this, then?" you say.

"We were just rehearsing a musical," mews one of them meekly. You notice the door to the bookstore is behind her and ajar.

"You people do realize that you're breaking law #45f part 3 of the Regulations of Alleys and Entertainment? Yes it is an odd law, but you're breaking it."

You think about what to do in this situation. You could just leave them. Or you could try to get them to disperse peacefully. You could try fighting them. Or you could try to convince them to join your cause. Or convince them through violence to join your cause. Or maybe there's something else you could do in this situation that you're not thinking of.

You decide to try to recruit them to your cause.

It is an awkward and uncomfortable experience for everyone involved. You don't say a word until you've put your hobo clothes back on, saying "I'm actually a Sky Hobo, on a mission to destroy Zeppelin City. So, now will you join me?"

"We are performers, not anarchists."

"I'll teach you how to make powerful explosives."

"We will join you."

It's a good thing no one can resist the allure of explosions. Or maybe that's not a good thing. Anyway, you ask something that's been bugging you for the past few minutes.

"So, what's with the cat costumes?"

"It's part of a musical we've been developing. Don't tell anyone about it; we don't think the world is ready for it yet."

Anyway, ask them if they have a building they're staying in. Also, tell them to perform right in front of the nearby bank. While they perform, we'll rob the place, as the guard of course.
