Wait, did I seriously forget to say how much EP the species start off with? Anyhow, micelus' species uses 75 EP so I am going to set that as the starting EP if nobody objects. Oh, and duplicating a trait still requires the EP for however many times you want to duplicate it.

I'm a bit confused about how the spheres and types work, so I'm probably making a bazillion mistakes, in which case can you please point it out? Also this is obviously not final. Anyway here's my attempt:

Wait, would being amphibious count as a trait?

Did you mean you mean to put Eusocial 6, Armok, or is that supposed to be IV?

How's this for a species, aside from the sparse description?

Nirur Torir, those points add up, but I am not sure about Foraging as a Population Action trait. I'll have to think about it a bit.

micelus, I need to think about how an amphibious species would work. I'll get back to you on that.

Armok, I think colony building should be a Population Action trait, as you would use it to colonise new areas. I'll think about the eusociality.

Only in a very technical sense. It doesn't really make colonizing a new area easier since the alternative is simply not having colonies, if anything it makes it harder since it's an extra required step. "Living in built colonies" is really more accurate as far as the gameplay effect goes, it just sounds horrible.

I think that aside from sphere traits, we should have biological traits. Things like "amphibious" or "flyer" or "gilled" or something could be separate traits.

Fair enough Armok. I also suppose that flight should be a range trait.

I'll just change it to pioneering, then.

The range thing is a bit less clear. It technically does increase a range of action - how far from the hive the workers can do stuff - but it's still much shorter than a single tile so I don't think it's what is meant with the Range type, and IN PRACTICE what it does is allowing a colony to do things like locating itself in a place that's hard to reach without flying, or getting to fruits high up in a tree, or fly high to see things or avoid ground based predators, etc.
