Thanks for the advice! :) Is it an okay idea to stash everyone bar my best warrior in the garrison, and have him gain solo xp and be the father of recruiting everyone else?

It becomes a tradeoff.  You can get more single-character exp, but it takes longer to win fights, so you get less exp-per-turn.  It's less efficient to specialize.  Ideally, you want as many swords chopping the enemy as you can get, because that'll end battles quicker and let you roll through more enemies.  But if you have a lot of characters in garrison, you can earn a lot of exp passively too...  Problem is that garrisons are expensive to construct.  Lots of brick and lumber and such, which is not free.  When my city is going a bit better, I'll probably start building garrisons for other people to take over, but that'll be in the future, because it's some significant dumping of money.

Do not forget, your garrisoned troop's equipment will deteriorate with all the fighting.

Ughhhh that makes it a bit of a pain, but I suppose there has to be some balancing features.

Well, the good news is, the armor will probably last 3 or so weeks if its the 100-120 durability splint mail...   You got roughly 5-6 weeks with the +190 durability plate mail.  At least from my really poor guesstimation from my own folks.

I'm happy to say that Mutant accepted my idea to cap the number of free turns from items per day. He's stating 250 will be the max. This will level the playing field a little, and will put a limit on how time-consuming the game can become, plus will mean more +turns items available for everyone else, since they won't be so hoarded.

Also, he's saying he might put a hard cap on the number of mayors per player, probably 20 each. You can probably tell, but this will only impact on Staberinde at the moment. If it goes through we should consider targetting the outlying Staberinde cities in our area, since the two main players there won't be able to maintain the > 20 cities they each have now. So everyone keep leveling up.

I tried a level 4 dungeon because I was going pretty smooth in level 3's and barely need heals now. It was a bad mistake. There is a huge difficulty cliff from level 3 to level 4, i got my ass handed to me, lots of deaths, used 90 heals in 20 minutes, cost me ~$15000 in ressurections. And I ended up gaining XP slower than before due to running away. So, even with a pile of extra heals, level 4 dungeons are too hard for anyone under level 20, which means level 3 dungeons are all you need for training up guys to level 20.

It cleanses negative effects from one characters, like curse or silence.

So, I built a garrison at 96,60. I already have a party level 8. How do I build stuff?

How do you take garrisons/whatever those fort looking things on the map are?

I walked on them and there was no option to do anything with them. I assume they've already been ransacked?

Not that I'm at the level to be capable of doing anything with them, but for future reference.

Be level 8, have some bricks and wood and stuff.  You can store it in the garrison itself and use it, so you can make multiple trips.  You'll see the option to build, as long as there's no city or tower/fort/castle in the surrounding 8 tiles.

Arcnashagree is at 6 tiles, so I guess that it means no. I was trying to build a garrison at one of the marked locations on the map, but I guess that not all of them should be compatible.

Oh, yeah, both the garrisons I've found are like 3 tiles from a town. Oh well!

No, they can be near, but not in the 8 directly neighboring tiles around the city. This doesn't mean they can't be within a distance of 8, just that they can't be right next door to a city.

96,60 should be ok, if it's not next to any other structures. Maybe there's a garrison from some other non-B12 player in a neighboring cell? We can kill them off.

I don't know if there are, but I realized that I don't have the resources to build anything. I just used my 2000 gold to buy 40 stone bricks. HOW CAN 40 PIECES OF STONE SHAPED ONTO PRISMS COST MORE THAN TWO WHOLE FULL PLATE ARMOR KITS?. THERE SHOULD BE STONE LYING EVERYWHERE.

Anyway, I can scout the area, I have a small steel shield of +5 movement factor.

Should I scout it in a radius of 8 tiles? Or less?

EDIT: castle (I think that it is a castle) from the Lands of the Lost Swords and Souls at 89,63.
