FYI, Reelya, the "Bay12 Kingdoms MMO Map" is broken (for obvious reasons) and should probably be removed.

Just checked to see if my old log in work and it does.
So now i have a level 4 party what should i do?
Level a little more and maybe head towards the East side of the map. We're (slowly) building a kingdom based from Ashford.
Reelya, the Parties page is bugged, down, or both. If that's because you're currently working on it, sorry for mentioning it.
Got you, Ragner's Rangers are at 43, 39 and as soon as i finish this quest i'll start making my to Ashford (what the coordinates?)

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.

Ok, added a login screen instead of the 404 error. There's also a page for the browser plug-in now, and it will auto-install if you click it (or download if you don't have a browser that knows about greasemonkey). You still need to change your user name to match the one in the parties page, but it's now possible to add your own party to that as well, so much more streamlined.

As long as you don't overtake the game in complexity. :P

Yeah, use the map + plugin. I really dig the waypoints thing I set up, this is going to make keeping track of where to go much easier. It's not very visual right now though, you basically have to edit a list of numbers, but it's late now so save that for another day. Visual editing would be ideal.

If you want to turn the paths off, you add "&user=none" after the password. I might add turning just paths on and off, too. Probably the next thing is site cookies rather than the password string.

Thanks a ton for doing this stuff, Reelya. I was playing without the map for a while while you were working on it, and I realised how much I rely on it to navigate.

Anyway, picking up other garrison's leavings with a few low-level characters and my lowest-level mains is an easy way to get gold and experience.

Yeah, I was just working on it. I added the feature to add your own party at the bottom.

Ok to add my party to that list or is it just for fully pledged B12 Kingdom folk?
Im just a wandering vagabond at heart, not some hardcore Dwarven B12'r so not sure if I'll join a Kingdom fully but I certainly wont be working against you.

Eh, I'd say add it. Even if you don't join us, I don't see any reason for you not to.

Something I just thought of: it's possible with this to record which Bay12ers spent a lot of time in/at particular dungeons, so the server can track who raided what, and how long they spent there online. The server could then record a "heat" level for a particular dungeon: "last raid time/online duration" etc. So you could tell if no-one using the plug-in had been active in a particular dugeon for the last ~6 hours or so, which would mean it is good to raid.

Couple this with the ability to "tag" a dungeon that you plan to raid with a waypoint and bay12ers can avoid stepping on each other's toes a bit, which is a real concern since we're mostly hanging out in the same corner of the map more or less.

If you can't or don't want to use the plug-in you can manually enter your location and waypoints to state you're going to be raiding a particular dungeon.

Well, its polite to ask.  :D
Reelya may intend it purely for the Kingdom only folk.

How does farsight work... I tried it earlier while I was playing, testing it against a town twice just to see how it works but it never told me what forces where there defending. Do I need a certain level for that? That was at point blank range btw, I did it twice. All it said was there is a town here and a hills. Which I kinda knew already since I was standing on it.

Nah, the more players that use the site the better. I just set up daily backups too, so if any data gets corrupted we can roll back 1 days worth. I feel better about not making this a full-blown database app that way.

It seems based on divinity and proximity.  It rolls dice every time, so if you don't get information you can try again.  I know it'll at least show the number and type of guards, it may also show the upgrade levels.
