It's not actually, when you take a turn in the dungeon. often the enemies will make a move right away. I've had to click on the same enemy up to 3 times sometimes to get a fight, the same mob literally moves each time i click, which was less than a second apart.

So there are moves that happen as part of the normal flow, but they get a chance of a free move when you do.

Well I suppose theres little to gain in disagreeing with something thats fixed anyway :-)

My own experience is that I only missed mobs when I had delayed my turn and go away and came back, or messed around with my excel sheet for a few seconds before making my next move. After the first few misses I started hitting refresh then move and hit every mob all the time.

Good news everyone!  Ashford's economy has improved to the point of "poverty"!  Thanks to literally 'excellent' mayoral abilities, we're at an all-time high of 18.  Still, what I'm gaining in taxes, I'm gaining well more than double in party entry tax, and the market produced as much gold as the peasants.

I can't help but notice that les cinqs fantastique have put 2000 arrows up for sale at the Ashford trade hall, for 30000 gold. Unless you want to pay money to someone who has no affiliation with Bay12 and who hasn't been online for 3 weeks at the time of writing, I recommend not buying those :)

On the other hand, I'm going to put up an assortment of indestructible weapons, mostly maces and hand axes. Feel free to buy them and hopefully boost the economy of what is going to be our prosperous capital.

Also, election at Deathable [92, 91] in 6 days (2280) if anyone wants to run a candidate for a high prosperity town in our area. If nobody else does, I might assuming I remember it and be bothered to train up a new mage.

I can put a sales tax, which imposes a fee on all items bought from or sold to the equipment shops.  This could provide some income if people were emptying their loot on the city.  Right now it's at 10% but I could up it.  Who -really- uses equipment shops seriously anyways :P

Hey guys, just joined as The Guild of Friends. Will be making the trek to Ashford as soon as I feel capable (probably Level ~5.)

Fantastic.  My suggestion is to run the sewers until level 2, then take minor quests for "kill 2 monsters" and use the town healer generously.  Remember, when you're just starting, gold isn't important.  Experience is what you want, and with it you can gain gold easily.

Pretty much what I did; am now farming up weaker monster groups outside town.

I don't blame you.  I'm the mayor and I don't even hang out there.

Question! Can you have multiple parties? How do garrisons work? I see all these towns controlled by "StormTroopers" (He has like 700+ characters!) How do I begin to defeat him?!

You can leave characters in garrisons in the wild, in inns at cities, or in the streets at cities, as well as the mayor allowing mayor + 7 garrison to defend the city.  These all count to your character count.  For every 3 characters that are level 20+ you can have a mayor of another city.  So he's just been playing a long time and gotten a lot of mayors.

One trick is to leave characters at garrisons.  They'll passively gain experience and gold as they fight monsters and use structures you can build.  Using this, you can raise characters without ever touching them.

The one key thing and correct me if Im wrong someone...

You can only have one active party at a time. When you set up a garrison you have to keep one character thats "YOU" and drop the rest off, then pick up some more? Any visit to your towns/garrisons has to be done in person like this?

Are those supposed to be questions?  If so... yes and yes.  You gotta have 1 character to do the escorting.  Make sure it ain't a weakling for those lonely return trips, just in case.

Yes. I wanted someone to confirm it, I tested out the info in theory only.
