My garrison 'crushed' four groups, but seem only to have gained experience from one, but gold from all. What's up with that? Were they fleeing?
'crushed' groups are fully defeated. It will tell you (something along the lines of "held the field as the enemy fled") when the enemy group retreats. How did you figure out if you only got XP from one group? Did you count or did the log say "0 xp"?

The log said zero.

What level is your garrison, how big is it, and who were they fighting? Xp is split between all battle participants.
If you know and care to list anyway. I probably can't assist regardless.

Hm, have you considered murder?  It's either that or letting it go.

Garrison was level six. Full eight, they were fighting fairly small fry - bugbears, hobgoblins, etc. in the 4-6 range.

The highest density is probably in Asford and the surrounding towns, but god-like blacksmiths and dungeons lead to a lot of travel.

Mostly East I think (I and the others roam). @93,71 is a town owned by Girlinhat, the future monarch, so seeing Bay12 parties sit there during log-off is regular.
You would likely be best off to dive your starting town's local sewer to at least lvl2 or enough gp to change-up some equipment. Lvl 1-3 parties can get stomped in the overworld by regular enemies.

At about level three, I started moving around the overworld and attacking the weakest groups I could find, which worked quite well. I was a bit lucky, though.

Hey, so is this game revived or something? It seems pretty interesting, but if it's really stagnant I doubt I'll be picking it up.

It's somewhat stagnant. We're doing our best to get a B12 kingdom up and running, and there is another kingdom that's moving around. One of the kingdoms has been there for years though...

Development is stagnant, but player base is rising.

In the sole developer's own words earlier today, he "doesn't have a lot of time for development". I'm unsure whether that means none at all or just very little but considering that last update was 2-3 years ago...

I submitted one bug report and some "suggestions", but I made sure to suggest small fixes that wouldn't take much time. The dev fixed the bug within a week and implemented one of the suggestions and says he's considering the other ones.

The fix he did was for when you click on a dungeon mob but they scoot out of the way, apparently clicking on them now locks in a fight instead.

So we might be able to get little fixes for this-and-that approved, but no complete systems overhauls.

He also fixed my bug with the character screen.  I think he likes the game and would like to work on it, and if he can find time for small things he'll do so, but scheduling just isn't there to allow for more sweeping changes.

I tend to roam around a lot looking at the towns, and in shops (in between dungeon raids). I just bought an indestructible featherweight halberd with + 2 turns / day, and a plate armor with 236 durability and +1 CON / +1 AGI. You find some prety awesome stuff in the shops, it looks just as good as most dungeon loot. So far i have two indestruble halberds, two indestructible plate armor. One each from a dungeon and a shop.

I can probably supply you guys with a lot of 220+ durability plate armor if you want, there's enough of that in the shops. Can we agree on a trade hall location for Bay12? Ashford is a little too far east for me to keep coming back. I'm thinking Felllack (64, 69) would be a good trading point, since it's not too far from the middle of the map.

Thats good to hear.
I believe that is a case of the game ticking along whilst your own page is static. Same thing with the scout reports and then you move there and no mobs in the sector. The game has ticked on between your first move and the next. If you leave your party in the wild and occasionally hit the logo at the top to refresh the page (or just reload the browser) you will see mobs in your sector from time to time since they have moved into your sector.

-------------

I wonder about the loot myself. Does it spawn in shops also? Or are the items there just stuff that has been passed around and sold from dungeon raids.
Does it stay there forever or disappear after a while. The arrows and gems obviously spawn there so I wonder if other stuff does too over time. I hit a town in the North that was a treasure trove of gems and items, 4 x 230 plate, loads of enc items with turns and move factor. Either it was an old stomping ground for those top players at some point or I just got lucky. No one had been there on the news in the last few days.

Not had so much luck with weapons so far though, just one ID-Warhammer. I have spent a bit more money on upgrades for standard weapons up to Lv2 with the ones that had decent durability.
