Just so long if it's -something- distinguishable.  Should be able to view a party and be sure if they're dwarf or not.

CALL TO EVERYONE!  Go to your "party" menu, then the "description" bit, and add something that shows you're from Bay12.

I've gone with "Oh, STAGOB1, we hardly knew ye."

Also, I've got enough towns for a kingdom now - does anyone know for sure whether I can abdicate and appoint someone else as monarch? (or, what the controls are/etc. because the help page is a little lean)

I suspect that either way, you should be able to be a horrible king and let the kingdom fall to anarchy, at which point my own shall rise up and I shall swallow down the smoldering remnants of what was once a pretty awful kingdom.

Quote
<TTHSK>: Hi mutant
<TTHSK>: Can I ask you a couple of questions about kingdoms so I don't have to find out by making one? >_>
<mutant>: sure
<TTHSK>: Is it possible to create one and hand over the reins? (put someone else in charge)
<mutant>: the only way to do that is to let your party go inactive... the kingdom will then become NPC
<TTHSK>: Am I able to end/destroy the kingdom so I can join one after fiddling?
<mutant>: if you lose all your towns, the kingdom goes inactive
<mutant>: so you can just have the mayors change their allegiance
<TTHSK>: Cool
<TTHSK>: Is there some kind of cost each day to having a kingdom beyond the maintenance costs for individual towns?
<mutant>: nope... in fact, you should end up getting a fair bit of cash for the treasury

Some info. I'm probably not going to make a kingdom unless we need a distraction since I can't do a handover (and I'll be on holiday in a week for a week <_<).

found another indestructoChain (right on top of a gold-like balcksmith too) @42,98.
(To clarify: I still think they suck, but I can buy it and keep it in the trade hall for you- 801 gold plus tips)

Is this for me(if not who)? I'm looking for Full Plate (indestructo or 200+ durability) cause indestructoChain does suck cost wise. If no one else goes for it I'll probably nab it for a future archer though.

Word of God has confirmed that Con is NOT retroactive.  Whatever your build is for a character, raise the CON or INT/DIV to max as quickly as possible, so that you'll get your gains for as long as possible.  Furthermore, advancing Con at level 25 would be pointless, because it can't raise your HP, though it will raise your carry weight.

If you're planning a build, remember that you end up with 72 stat points to distribute.  You get 3 points per level, but the first level doesn't count.  With a generous 1/3 of points to con, you end up with 42 Con, which is perhaps excessive, but does ensure that your character won't fall very easily at all, and can survive while your priests are busy on other characters.

Additionally, 90 is the flat max of a single stat.  However, allegedly potions do exist which raise a stat +1 permanently.  It should therefore be possible to, 1: Leave a character at level 1 and spend a great deal of money/time raising their con before leveling them, and 2: End up with a fighter with more than 90 str who can bash apart most anything.

 :o
Such knowledge. Much tears ;_;
More seriously this takes the edge off my using AGI as a dump stat in favor of CON at character creation. And why my archer and mage are so low on HPs.

Just purchased some snazzy Full Plate from that location from the party Bolshivek, that you?

Also found a lvl3 dungeon @26,99(if you have less than 40hp and less than 45Def you will die quickly, if you have those you better have all your heals and spells!). Also found 2 clusters of chests, 1 cluster is the treasure room. They were plundered 11min before post.

To get to them enter the dungeon. Go through NE door. South door. Middle (or Rightmost followed by Left) door. Follow down that path until you see the 4th door in the room(is a N door on sector id 584346). From there it depends.
Spoiler: Other Chest Cluster (click to show/hide)

Reelya please PM me the Data Editor password. Thank you :D

The password is the same for the garrisons and the editor.

My garrison 'crushed' four groups, but seem only to have gained experience from one, but gold from all. What's up with that? Were they fleeing?

And I have neither :P
Thanks for informing.

If they were fleeing you should have gotten the gold from 1 but experience from all 4. Can't really help I only ever made one garrison and it was destroyed before I was interested in efficiency.

'crushed' groups are fully defeated. It will tell you (something along the lines of "held the field as the enemy fled") when the enemy group retreats. How did you figure out if you only got XP from one group? Did you count or did the log say "0 xp"?

It is. I guess that's what my association with "party" was that day.

Can I also get the password?
