Does putting metallurgy on one character make him repair all the equipment or just his own? Also, (I think the party cap is 8, if I'm not mistaken) can I place party members in an inn, recruit more party members and train them up to be builders and diplomats and switch them out with my dungeon/raiding party?

Archers get double shot automatically, notably around level 3.  It seems to be an invisible skill level that raises automatically.

I don't know how metallurgy totally works.

You CAN put characters somewhere and recruit more.  To be a king, you have to have 4 cities under you.  To have 4 mayors, you need like 25 characters of level 20+ under your total command.  You do this mainly by putting them in garrisons, either in the wilderness building your own, or on a city you own as its town guard.  There's a limit of 8 characters per garrison.

Is it possible to go to a dungeon with multiple parties and act as one big party? Like, are we able to heal characters from other parties and vice versa? Or help them in a fight?

Sorry for all the questions, but this is a really good game.

No i don't think there's any raid mechanics like that, you can only heal your own party. It's set up to discourage multis so there's no way to do stuff like that or swap characters around between parties. Generally you go and raid the level of dungeon that's suitable for your character's level. Since the battles are all 1-on-1 with enemy mobs you basically clear out one dungeon on your own battle by battle.

Having two parties in there would not work out. Remember a "turn" is as fast as you can click, so it's not like a realtime game.

So I recently (accidentally) discovered what teleporters do in dungeons. I'm down a priest and my warrior, and everyone else is on low health. I'm out of heals and have no idea where the exit is.

How screwed am I?

Look at the sector_id numbers on the ground, which appear in the status bar of your browser. I did a quick look and the entrance to a dungeon (well sewers, but let's hope it works the same) has the lowest tile number and they're sequentially numbered the further from the entrance they are. By always travelling towards lower numbered tiles you should automatically steer towards the exit. It's a bit exploity, but you can take advantage of how the dungeon generation system generates numbered tiles starting at the exit to steer yourself home.

As soon as you get an option to fight/flee set all your living guys to "defend" and put them in the back row. Put the dead guys in the front row to protect the living like meat shields (not strictly necessary but adds flavor). This will minimize the number of hits they take while running away. Also reallocate the good armor etc to the survivors if there is any. No point the dead warrior having some cool armor if one of the survivors can use it.

You are a life saver. I'm out of turns, but I can see the exit now.

Now I just have to think of an in-game justification. The disembodied spirits of my deceased party members scouted the dungeon for me? :P

I think it's ArKFallen. Nydus is Zangi, Business Inc. is Girlinhat, and I'm Copiae Arcem.

That's Sartain. He led the last Bay12 kingdom.

Yep, that's me. Hanging around Oldhaven right now [57,94] since it's relatively close to our intended territory and there's a level 2 dungeon nearby. My useless mage is almost level 8 too and I'm starting to collect an assortment of indestructibles (well, four weapons and no armors so far so it's meager) so I'll be ready to mayor it up in the near future. Never actually tried owning towns after the last update to the game so it's going to be new content for me  :)

Edit: Hilariously, Crown of Conquest has moved from spot number 21 to spot number 8 on mgpoll's list since I started playing this again.

Can't wait to get to town-building. Still party level 3. I'm also up North-west. Not sure where everyone else is, but I'm gonna level myself before I head your direction to help.

I started a list so I can keep track of who's who. Here's all the bay12ers I know of who are active or semi-active:
http://jgame.net.au/kingdoms/parties.html

EDIT it's http://jgame.net.au/kingdoms/parties.php now, and is intergrated with the map password system. It contains a section for adding/changing your own party details and setting a personal password for future changes.

Btw is there a minimum level for scribing scrolls? I tried to get a level 1 and level 2 to scribe scrolls but it was no go ...
