My level 3 mage murdered veteran guards when my level 10s couldn't even land a hit.

Why? o_O Without pumping thousands of gold into the campain you would have lost. Why bother campaigning if you could just take it? It wasn't hard at all, only 2 rookies and 2 experienced guards were there, plus a weak archer mayor, 5 chests of EPIC loot, and a good little town.

Had 2000 gold, actually. Polls said I was winning by a long, long, long shot. Prosperity 1 towns tend not to have very difficult competition, but they occasionally have veteran guards. Didn't want to risk that.

But I guess it's fine. I'll just go and find another city once our kingdom is established.

There's more in the area, take em! Madel (tan) has only 9 players total, take their towns if you can't find neutral towns. We need to strengthen our position.

Tried raiding Oxness. Defeated the mayor, but got ran out by Veteran Guards. Waste of several thousand gold to ressurrect... which would have been enough to win the election, but now the town hates me.

I'll... stick to elections from now on. =/

You didnt have a mage? a mage could have easily wiped out those vets.

My mage was too busy being dead. Also, energy blasts are useless. Switching to flames.

I think... imma take a break. I just went from 5k gold to nothing, and it's not much fun being in poverty. xD

i think when you "spawn" for the first time, the party gets allegiance to the town you spawn (which kinda makes sense, if you were born in the town under the rule of king Time, you are his faithful servant per se and then you can change allegiance) so, since time has lots of city, lots of people are in their allegiance if they spawn in their cities, and many do not change allegiance.
