My party is level 10 now. I took a level 10 quest and found my way into a level 3 dungeon, which is pretty rough at char level 10 (I guess it must be like 3-5 levels per level of dungeon? not sure). Place is full of revenants, greater demons, iron golems, werebears, etc. My party has been whupping them, but taking heavy damage. Thankfully my healer had 40 heals memorized, so she's been keeping everyone alive. I've been avoiding encounters as I can though, since every one is so strong and I want to get the treasure room for the quest before I'm forced to leave.

I used 200 turns in the place, and now im all out and still inside. Hopefully random encounters don't eat me while I'm waiting on turns :o My equipment is pretty trashed too, bows are at 1/3 durability and ammo is down to about 250 out of the 1000 I brought in. Loot is good though. Found an iron hat with +3 movement and +1 turns each day, and lots of gold in the treasure room I found. All total I found 5 scattered chests, and 13 in this one big treasure room - but it didn't have the item I needed for the quest, so there must be another treasure room in here somewhere.

This is going to be interesting...

All mages? O_o You're going to suffer to NO end for a long, long time. A better idea; create a new account, and then trade the old account's gear to the new account by being in the same town and setting up a trade-sale for really really cheap and quickly buying it on your new account.

Without armor, you're screwed. Mages are USELESS til higher levels.

You plan to raise only mages because they're useless and it'll be incredibly painful?

Wow, you are a dwarf foreman!

I'm told that selling your people doesn't make them go to that city. They'll either wander around, eventually find another city, or give up adventuring entirely. You can't safely transfer people by selling them.

The Intrepid Lil Group consists of:

Thorgest Crowchaser - Dwarf Warrior
Lux the Chippy - Human Warrior
Milo of the Wildest Oats - Elf Archer
Momar the Drow - Elf Archer
Ragnar Plate Top - Human Priest
Morgana Dark Binding - Elf Warrior

The key member of the group has become Ragnar Plate Top (named for his bald head), due to the many Heals and Portal spell he brings to the team. Milo is the flashiest member, staying on the front lines with some of the worst armor and the highest agility, and always staying alive. Just now I found an awesome 2.4k bow for sale in town and bought it for Milo: it is a Long Bow that procs a Level 8 Ice Damage spell on most hits. I have seen monsters take between 5-16 ice damage per hit so far. Thorgest, my only dwarf, is the leader. Morgana, my only recruited member, is the black sheep and the only one who has needed to be resurrected. Lux has the highest strength so she is the door basher. Momar is the quiet, steady DPS.

I have been hanging out in a cluster of towns and dungeons in the West-North West of the world. I am fully loyal to the Kingdom of the Twelve Bays, and will likely make my way south at some point, but for now I am grinding in this area, and I will experiment with conquering towns once I advance a few more levels. I am well equipped due to the overpowered chests in sewers, and with a few sets of Plate Mail, Splint, and Scale Mail to round out the crew, most monsters are unable to hit me at all.

The game is really cool at first because it is somewhat hard to get going (depending on where you start) and the world feels undiscovered and rural, but my big concern is that it quickly is getting very easy and grindy (since most fights are oh so easy). Hopefully the PvP, politics, and higher level dungeons give it a longer life.

Yeah, NPC fights. Wait til you fight players :P And start trying to raid heavily-fortified towns. Ooooh, fun.

I am overburdened, it costs 8 turns to move over a mountain and 2 turns to move over open ground...  My entire next hours turns will be spent getting back to the town I left from.

EDIT:  Also a good haul of 18 potions and a selection of magic weapons.

EDIT 2:  Thats comes out as: 6 Intelligence, 4 Agility, 2 Constitution, 1 Healing, 1 Diffusion and 4 Clarity.  Really nice haul I think.
