Mwahaha! Made a party with 2 mages (just for the challenge) and gave my dwarf mage a halberd I found. He's now doing 16 damage to rats. And no back row penalty! Quick question though, I'm guessing from and back row is determined by above/below the bar on the right side of the screen. Which is the back row? Top or bottom?

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

The back row is the bottom half. I'm wondering if there is anything stopping you from putting everyone in the front row.. there seems to be no advantage to being in the back row, supposedly you get hit less often, but I'm sceptical - it doesn't do anything obvious like give a bonus to your defence factor.

Apparently it gives a bonus equivalent to 4 defence points or something.

I can't seem to get it to work. The starting page (after party creation) does not fully load, but the fancy "hourglass substitute" symbol keeps running. Maybe it is because I am on a horrible IE7 browser on this PC?

“Well,” he said. “We’re in the Forgotten hunting grounds I take it. Your screams just woke them up early. Congratulations, Lyara.”
“Do something!” she whispered, trying to keep her sight on all of them at once.
Basileus clapped his hands once. The Forgotten took a step forward, attracted by the sound.
“There, I did something. I clapped. I like clapping,” he said. -The Investigator And The Case Of The Missing Brain.

OK, Found out what Potions of Clarity do - they're Remove Curse potions. Also, in other news, I'm growing fond of dungeon diving for the incredible amounts of loot I've been picking up - a lot of stat increasing potions, full plate, and even started getting some enchanted gear in the last dungeon. Nothing earthshattering yet, but all that loot does fund the next round of blacksmithing!

Whatever we do, kingdom wise, we must take these cities: Evershield, Prosperity 78. (46,86) Waxchannel, Prosperity 59. (53, 82)

Both are neutral. They have a road leading from one to another, and only NPCs are in the elections.

Anyone who's conquered towns before we unite the kingdom, you can change the loyalty of towns you own so they can join the kingdom as well.

Also, just conquered a prosperity 26 town with my 7-man level 8 team. Seasoned guards are pretty tough, so watch out with those town raids!

Are we going diplomatic take overs, or hostile raids? I don't know the benefits to either.

Is there a specific kingdom everyone is? And do you need to be allied to a kingdom in order to attack towns?

If you had necromancy powers, this would be a pretty solid way to prank people.
A creepy old man runs up to you and suddenly the skin in your backpack tries to kill you? High Octane Nightmare Fuel much.

You need 8 towns to form a kingdom. Third time saying this.

So, players can change their town's allegiance to a non-existing town, so we need somebody to take the helm as the kingdom-former.

Personally, I think that person should be OP, for bringing this game to us.

If he fucks us over, we can always kill him :D! <3.

Evershields, I think I'm currently there. I might attack it... Dump my low levels dragging me down, charge in, etc...

Edit;
Turns: 0 More Turns In: 22 minute

FFF. AND the fucking voting-thing didn't give me my turns >_>.

We're all forming down south, away from the big kingdoms. We're all freemen.

Pretty sure more prosperity means more power... and Evershield is a pretty big place. At least you survived.

Found two indestructable short swords and a dwarf archer, score.

And noted about attacking towns.

Picked up an Elf Priest. Everyone is level 3 now, save for him. I'm playing a lot more cautious now, eheh.

Found a total of four chests so far, three have been empty. Yes, I do have umbrage.
