The hell? That's odd. I'll tell the Creator when he gets online. That shouldn't be happening...

In other news, I found the majestic, elusive Platemail, 18 defense, for 900 gold. Sadly, I'm broke. Asap, I'll get that beautiful platemail, blacksmith it up to 22-23 defense, and be virtually indestructible, MUAHAHAHAH.
You might not be, but the armour might be if its a terrible blacksmith, had one that took a set of platemail I owned down 13+ durability...

Yah, looks like hostile takeover will be the only way to go - while claimed land mostly only exists in the north, the three established kingdoms did make sure to snatch up all the towns in the south.

And we can snatch them right back. :)

Aye, they can only claim land from their Capitol/HQ, so they need a solid line from the HQ to claim any land.

About what level should you be to take a town?

Does it require muscle or will it just sorta happen?

You can stand for election in a town at level 8, and I'm guessing your chances are influenced by your reputation with the town - so make sure to do quests for the town as much as you can.

I'll head down to a town in the south and start grinding reputation there then.

Any particular towns you want to shoot for?

EDIT: Maybe we should keep plans in this thread quiet actually. Maybe PM stuff to people in case they're looking in on this.

Good habit to get into anyway.

You can also raid a town at level 8, which is another way to take it over. That, obviously, requires muscle although I have no idea how much. Probably best to stay away from PCs and stick to assaulting towns with NPC mayors.

On another note, the area around Millcross (26,37) has at least 3 other independent cities, so its a possible starting point for our kingdom I guess.

FOR THE RECORD, the Kingdom of the Twelve Bays will be set up in the southern central of the world in the large swath of neutral land. All players please head south so we can all converge and start raiding towns, becoming mayors, setting up garrisons, buying buildings, etc, until we're ready to set up a kingdom and take over the world in the name of Armok!

NO. One player needs 8 cities to form a kingdom. Then, once the kingdom is formed, I was going to give out the towns. :(
