The Blacksmith at Rogue's Haven has gone god-like!

No, it went god-like just now. The "25 days ago" is when the blacksmith was born. They start as terrible or poor, and get better over time, but have a random chance each day to retire, so only a few ever hit god-like.

There is the passive aggressive option of surrounding it with 2 garrisons set to take over land, that should limit it's 'influence'.  Or just outright attack and raze it.

Another option is to talk to the player before doing anything.

EDIT: Quick probe of a few local castles...  69,48(near Skelstaff) is set as aggressive, full of archers.  Low levels, are advised to stay away from that.

So, I took over the town of Justinn a while back and it keeps reverting to it's former kingdom allegiance despite me setting it as a Free Town three times now. There's no revolts or anything, no mention of it in the "news" tab, it's just as if the switch never happened, other than my mayoral approval plummeting since it takes a dip every time you change allegiance, apparently. Anyone have any idea if this is a bug, or a result of all the surrounding tiles being aligned with said kingdom?

Could try changing it under another browser, it might be a bug.

You can semi-quickly raise approval by setting low peasant tax.

Well you do get NPC mayors aligning with kingdoms, so maybe free towns tend to align to whoever controls the countryside. This makes it more important that we get castles up.

I've taken Rogue's Haven (76,81).  Will swear allegiance to whoever creates a kingdom.

But we can only King it up when ONE party controls four at a time?

A couple of us do have 4+ cities, but we're holding out for Girlinhat at the moment since she suggested the kingdom plan.

I have 4 cities but I also have college starting in a week so I won't be able to be so active then. So I won't have any more dungeon crawling time after that, so I want to get a pile of castles up which I can garrison, and only log in occasionally to manage things. I'll see how things go once I'm studying.

Right now just two players, TTHSK and I, have 9 out of 15 Bay12 cities between us, so 2/3rds of the cities are just two players, neither of us will be able to be that active. When more players are getting up into the 20's a kingdom will be more viable. I'd also like to see the kingdom start with around 20-25 cities, and manned castles filling up all the southeast with our color (I'm working on that bit) which should dissuade attacks.

I've started to upgrade my tower. The ball has started to roll now - I just need to pick up one or two more characters to get a gold - gathering force to be reckoned with.
