Dear Journal.
Guess what? Mobius came down with psychoactive animadversion cognitive utterance disorder, I quickly snapped him out of it by giving him quite a scare. Unfortunately, I fear I may have decreased my already waning reputation with the community. *Sigh*
I managed to talk to shutterbug a bit, we settled down quickly over a table and discussed the happenings of the fortress. At least, those where my intentions, as I intend to do this with everybody in turn, yet the conversation soon fell into higher arts.

I showed my knowledge of gothic art and he was seeming a bit nervous. Our chat ended soon after and yet again, I feel I made a somewhat scary impression.

Very Telling.

Flashbang.

Bloody Flashbang

Don't even get me started.

Fine, I tried to chat with Flashbang, and ended with her pouring the contents of her glass on my head. It was a very short talk, at that. However, she seemed to get a laugh from it and I feel like she's the only pony who thinks I'm not some mad doctor.

I think she thinks I'm a jester.

I talked to Loudwhisper, and refrained from bringing up the hilarity thinking of it ensues. I imagined it as a bunch of fillies 'Whispering' When someone tells them to. However, I in the end did not bring up the subject. She did, and I told her how hard it must be to stick up with paradoxes your whole life. The conversation then went up a bit, us trading strategy, her talking about archery. At the last moment, my curse, as I hate to have come to put it, struck again. The conversation ended with her telling me she was going to put a bolt through my head. After a bit of thinking, she came back, saying: "Or a lever, deadly weapons in crossbows, you would be surprised."

I refrained from telling her I once treated a patient with a lever embedded through his liver.

Mobius' Journal, fifth entry

I'm feeling bad right now, I don't know why, nor do I want to know why. That murderer Solstice might kill me if I went to his clinic. No, I, a magnificent alicorn can't afford to get myself killed while I'm still formulating my plans.

Speaking of which...

I managed to "acquire" a bunch of shoddy mechanisms. They look horrible, slightly chipped off, and lacking any royal insignia. Regardless, these things should do their job properly, if I remebered how to read the blueprint I just made a few days ago.

Sepsi be damned; she has a bunch of compatriots protecting her, and some kind of divine force keeps me from executing Operation A.

Lastly, Shutterbug came to visit, but I told him off and sent him away. I didn't want visitors in my home, they might see my sketches..

I wish some other doctor was available...

Wait... I'm actually wishing for these idiots to help me? What am I thinking? I should remember that they're my ene-

[Journal cuts off; Mobius finally fainted from the poison he drank a few days ago.]

Flashbang's Journal, Second Entry

I've changed my mind. The ground is definitely safer than the trees. As soon as I find where they hid my equipment those trees will burn for what they did to me.

On the bright side, it seems not everypony in this deathtrap is as mind-numbingly dull as I thought they would be. As I was walking past the hospital I heard some truly delightful screams. It sounded just like home. When I looked inside I saw the doctor (Solstice as I learned later) was about to take a bonesaw to that madpony Mobius's legs. His grin was brilliant, madness and excitement shining from every tooth. I left before they saw me, as it is very risky to interrupt such a moment, but I did so with a spring in every step.

As much as I hate to interact with such imbeciles, I quickly asked around to find out more about this mad doctor. The answers I received were varied, but the overall impression made me wonder if he too had lived among the Diomedians. Although I learned he hadn't actually cut the madpony's legs off, I've always respected the fact the psychological torture can be just as bad as the regular type. This Solstice may have been a unicorn, but his heart was as dark as any darkbolt's. We had to meet.

It happened in the dining hall, during yet another of our predictably pointless and boring parties. Have they never heard of group torture sessions? Those never get old. I was sitting in a corner sipping at some cider when somepony had the audacity to sit across from me. I was about to put my hoof through their head when I realized who it was. Solstice. As he started to ramble on about friendship and putting the right hoof forward I slowly overcame my initial shock. At first I didn't know how to respond, but I laughed outloud when I realized what he was doing. He was trying to convince me, the only other pony that he could possibly relate to, that he was just your regular run of the mill doctor. It was an obvious facade, and I laughed even more as he struggled to maintain it. I ended the conversation the traditional way, by dumping the contents of my glass on top of his head. As he ran I threw the glass after him, but missed and hit some mason instead. It was the start of what will definitely be a beautiful relationship.

End of Entry

Congratulations Solstice, you now have a homicidal pegasus darkbolt stalking you. Enjoy!  :D

((xD, Fwoosh, that was too hilarious for some reason. Excuse me while I roll around on the floor in spasms of chortling))

Dear Journal,
Flashbang has been giving sidelong glances, extremely sly, and what she thinks must be stealth fully, except I am a doctor, and I am naturally very observant. At least the other ponies wouldn't notice, she wasn't bad at it, per say.

It has been somewhat unnerving, however. Once, while I was putting away my some of my spare organs, I heard her laughing maniacally from outside. She has a very unique laugh. Extremely hard to describe. I left the area with a bit more than a hurry.

If it's alright, could I be pony'd(or whatever) as a male Pegasus named Chatter Mouth?

Mobius' Journal, sixth entry.

Huh? What am I doing here in the clinic? I thought I was writing some journal notes a few hours ago. Maybe one of those imbeciles dragged me here...

Wait... it's been three days?! What have I been doing in my house to sleep that long?! No matter, so as long as they didn't see my plans, everything will be okay...

At least, the journal's with me...

Wait just a moment... IT IS NOT OKAY. I HAVE MY JOURNAL WITH ME, ON THE END TABLE NEXT TO ME. THAT MEANS SOMEBODY TOOK MY JOURNAL AND PUT THAT THERE, ON THE END TABLE. THEY PROBABLY READ THIS JOURNAL WHILE I WAS UNCONSCIOUS AND SAW MY MODE OF OPERATION.

Apples be damned, it's Strongbeard, coming this way. Gotta hide this...

Phew, that bearded dolt didn't know I had a journal and said hi to me... That's unusual, he never greeted me, ever since I was drafted to that mining operation.

SWEET CELESTIAL SUN! HE MIGHT'VE KNOWN MY SECRET! must follow.must follow.must follow...

Ouch, my body's not reacting well... due to the poison? The very same poison I used on that brute?

...

I don't know what to do now, maybe I should throw this away?

No, no.. can't do that. I've written a lot of my blueprints and the amount of trade goods I suckered in here. I can't throw this away...

Oh great, here comes Langgud, bouncing on his way like an idiot.

Sealing this book for now.

From the diary of Sepsi Crimsontail

Hi diary!

A lot has been going on.

Anyway, we got the wall built. We had everyone contribute. There was a lot of grumbling, but we got the job done. Of course, the complaining only got worse when we were told we had to build a ceiling as well. It didn't talk much longer than the wall, as the wall only covers a small portion of the canyon.

Langgud was happy to help, and he did most of the work. However, a lot of pony's saw another pony helping him, leading to a lot of comments to which I refuse to write down.

The doctor's mental health is starting to worry me. He tried to take a bone-saw to Mobius foot. For that little incident, I had him demoted from chief medical pony. It turns out, Ramienmind had some medical expertise as well, though the empty stares and the clipped way of talking are scaring people. The doctor also said that a black pegasus was following him, but no one has seen anything.

There is a lot more to say, but I am too tired to continue writing.

Goodnight, diary.

Sorry for the short post, but I just got back from D.C. and I am very tired.

Note to Fwoosh: That is a good idea of what Sepsi looks like, but I always imaged her to look more like this:
Note to The Master, I will need a personality as well.

Dear journal,
If I sound extremely angry, or at least mildly peeved, it is because I was demoted from chief medical dwarf.

I don't believe the new doctor is amply skilled however, so I predict my position should return. However, they fear for my mental health, which is not a good position for a doctor to be in, dammit.

In other news, Mobius has a plot for world domination. Ok, not total dominion, but its still a plot. It was pretty amusing, and considering he slipped poison into his own drink I wonder if his plot may be something darker still...

Yes, I believe Mobius is trying to write a novel about an archvillain, and is currently getting into the role.

Thanks TheOddDemon, your picture of Sepsi is great. Definitely very intimidating. So from what you've said in your post I take it that Flashbang has a black coat as well? I know that sometimes there's this bug that makes all the creatures of the same caste look exactly the same, so does Flashbang have the same coloration as Sepsi? Anyway, I hope your trip went well.

And Dalex? She's still watching you.  :D
