[33g]Melting Ice deleting floor
« on: January 01, 2008, 02:45:00 am »

I have a few tiles on my map that use to be a murky pool but turned into open space.

This happened when I was trying to mine out some ice in the winter to fill a pond with ice walls that would later form water.  When I mined out the ice from the lake it just turned into stagnant water, but there was still ice on the surface.  I thought I might still be able to get some ice by channeling off ice from the top of the same lake.  I channeled all the way around, resulting in a cave in.  The ice dropped into the lake and became ice walls i believe, at this point i gave up.
When spring came the I looked back in the lake and the ice was gone, and I could see one layer down at the stone.

Okay, I'll see if I can get it to happen at some point.

This is similar to the problem I had with Bug 579.

I had a situation where an ice floor collapsed from my channelling, and turned the murky pool tile below it into "unknown".  I haven't tested that in a while though.
