"Magic tomes aren't exactly the merchant guild's type of merchandise. That's not to say we don't have any, trust me. We'll have everything taken care of, just don't mention that we're sending you these tomes to any mage or scholar-looking guys."
"Now let's see... food, weapons, armor, tools, and spell tomes. The tomes are free of cost in this draft, so it comes up to a total of about 540 gold. You can either pay up front, or we can keep this draft until you can afford it. Tince is a member of the guild, so he can't pay for you, but he can help you gather any money you need."

In case Brier dosn't show up to RP before the update my action will be...

Create some plant matter saddlebags so that my chimera golem can hold lots of stuff. Include compartments for the warrior bugs to hide in. Get some sleep.

"500. I'm a merchant too, if you didn't notice."

Use my merchanting abilities to convince him to drop the price.

"You live on restricted land, the price is nonnegotiable. If you lived on any other restricted ground, with a recommendation from someone other than Tince, I'd probably have you pay for registering the land too, but I'll be covering you on that, so the only profit I'll get is from your payment."

"Fine...you can keep the draft for now however."

"So I guess this deal is done?"

Forrel gives his hand to shake.

"The deal isn't done until I secure your goods. But, as a sign of trust."
The merchant shakes Forrel's hand, then shoes the two back into the lobby where Ba'gandi is met.

What the hell is he doing here?

"Ba'gandi? How did you end up here of all places?"

Ba turned in mild surprise to see Forrel in the capital, and even more surprised that he recognized him so quickly. He would have guessed that a brighter fur coat and the missing greataxe might confuse someone, but he ignored this for now. "Veranus went missing a few days ago. I decided to search for her and I ended up here. She should be somewhere in the city." He scratched at the back of his neck. "Any chance you've seen her?"

Brier looked up quickly as he finished his blueprint for the machine.
"Hmm?! Oh, not at all. I hardly kept up with outside news, locked away in my workshop. Even then I would not take past action against someone, especially in times like these."

Forrel rubbed his hands together and said "no". Forrel turned glanced over Ba, and noticed severa; changes. He was surprised by the change of coat; course the Avapti always had problems with noticing these, they always looked at the face for identification.

Forrel looked around the guild building and then said, "I've just hammered out a deal with the Guild. The Hub will be receiving some traders regularly from now on...We have to pay a debt with them, but I'll leave that for later. I'll help you find Veranus."

Ba started heading for the door. "I have an idea of where Veranus might be. I'll lead the way." After a few steps he turned to Forrel in curiosity, "So what exactly do we owe the Guild?" Despite quelling his rage he still didn't like merchants, and he was even more sure that a new coat of fur wasn't about to convince merchants to trade with him.

Veranus was still training, despite her doctors warnings-which he made sound like a challenge to her. She had to make do with a weighted spear, but it was probably for the best. She had been at it for an hour now, and she was truly exhausted.

She lashed out with quick strikes-heart, neck and leg, the killing combination. Snap rolled to the left. Swung her staff in a bone crushing arc. Leap...land...check forward and back. As she stood up to go into a double edged strike routine  she stumbled-her old injury-causing her to collapse. The ever present nurses and doctors came, with their smug comfort.

She pounded the ground in frustration. Waved them off.

"I can walk...back away, please."

Seiyas tilted her head slightly to one side. How strange. It almost sounded like his tribe had been shattered and now he was looking for a new one, but that didn't explain the rest of it. Maybe they had history with a different tribe? Well, no matter. She had work to do.

"Oh. Alright then," she said, as though he had just explained his favorite food. Forgetting to give a proper farewell, she turned and walked off.

Her first stop was putting the book in "her" bedroom, followed by gathering up her golems and venturing outside. She suspected it was more dangerous outside at night, and if nothing else the dark should make it harder to see. Still, she didn't really care at this point- she was tired of her plans being put on hold, and the odds of anything truly dangerous lurking about were slim. She could at least do some preliminary scouting while waiting for the fullness of day.

Scout outside castle for suitable stone for golem. Go out a far ways, so as not to mar the landscape of the castle proper.

Cicatrix smiles warmly. "That is a minor relief. Now then, down to business. From what I understand you are the one opening doors around here, correct?"

The necromancer reaches into her robes and produces a handful of super tough mana-rich silk. "I know tinkerers such as yourself love having new materials to work with. If you could pop a door for me I could set you up with some of this stuff."

Brier smiles and nods, inspecting the silk for a moment.
"I would most certainly be able to help you with opening a door, lead the way."
