Ba was visibly alarmed at the revelation that this giant was indeed Hyperion, but his words intrigued him."You lost your body? I have to ask, did you happen to destroy a village?"

"Simply destroy my body if you truly wish to end the fighting. If returning to that husk people attach my living name to is the ultimate reward of being here, then I would much rather stay where I am. Besides, it is here that I am to encounter my disciple. Even if I could return, it would have to wait."

Ba was curious. What kind of knowledge would someone dead want to pass on, and why? "What kind of knowledge and will do you possess? I have Burdens to address, but I believe that I may end up leaving this place. Your knowledge may be helpful in stopping your body."

"The knowledge I hold is not such a fickle thing to be given out to those without need. You do not need, nor will you want what I offer to teach. As for my body, it will be destroyed just as any other, you simply need to overwhelm it. And though I cannot teach you what my disciple needs to be taught, I can tell you the ways of your Burdens."

"All Burdens possess different natures, but your Burdens serve to guide you. You take on the Burdens of others, thus chaining yourself to them. Your Burdens will then lead you to your friends, and to your enemies. You are restricted from the whole truth, yet freed from uncertainty. If you choose to follow your Burdens, you must never reach your destination with a single goal in mind. The patience to learn is this realm's greatest gift, and you have been working hard to gain it. Now, I grow tired. Should we meet again, I will look forward to the knowledge you have gained since now."

    Ba mini
As Hyperion falls asleep again, Ba notices the black chain has stopped responding to him. The white chain activates, so Ba decides to follow it. Not expecting anything for when he gets there. Ba notices a distinct change in his surroundings. The soul realm is revealing itself to him, showing him the many different types of souls, whimsical and free, roaming around with each other until they become reborn. The white chain stops at the cloaked figure and the halfling he saw in his dream.

    Brier
Brier decides to head for the main chambers, in hopes that the designs for the equipment the first Urist used may be found there. He marvels at the ancient designs that are still clearly visible in the architecture. Brier takes note of the lack of any damage, thinking of how well defended they would need to be for such a feat. If Brier could reach here without aid, then so could enemies of the Urist clan.
As Brier reaches the main chambers, the building begins to shake, and the markings on the wall begin to glow a bright blue. There are statues of the first few Urist clan leaders, and even statues of ones he had met. All of them are crying, and a statue of the current leader of the Urists begins to build itself in an empty space for a new statue.
    Veranus Tigerclaw
Asa leaves the room for a short time and returns with the elf and an old dwarf. The dwarf is finely dressed, his hair is white and fairly disheveled. He wears an odd pair of glasses that can't be seen through, Veranus assumes he is blind. The old dwarf has the elf unchain Veranus, then places the phoenix egg back in her hands.
    Forrel de Yahmiz
Forrel wanders the city, enjoying the sights, looking around for any guilds. There is a shocking lack of any buildings, and, after asking a local, is pointed to a large building near something called an air dock. This building is drastically different from the one in the village they stopped at, in that it isn't magnificently built, nor is it very important looking. It's simply large. Forrel enters the building, and is greeted by a monk.
    Cicatrix Greywood Greenflower
In her rushed anger, Cicatrix deploys all of her available non-queens and searches for fresh hatches. There aren't even any new eggs, so she mutates the queens to produce more eggs and be more fertile. The queens settle into their new mutations rather readily, it seems the queens adapt to mutation more easily than their offspring.
Having little else to do before they return, Cicatrix tries to search for any new corpses again, but the confounded beings inside the Hub still block her attempts.
    Seiyas Stormclaw
Seiyas decides she's been putting it off for long enough, she had already familiarized herself with the wing they're in, so she goes to a new wing, picking the largest one that isn't in the air. The wing has a sign above it in an ancient tongue she had studied in her village because of her fascination with pre-history. It was inside a scholar's journal her people had looted and gave to her. What she remembers reveals that she's entering the Grand Study of the Mage King. It confuses her why it's not inside the Hub, but Seiyas has little interest in thinking about such a trivial thing. Inside this massive construct is a several story high library full of old languages and spell tomes. Despite the complex architecture outside of the buildings, and inside the wing she resided, this was a rather simple building, with wood floors, an area to sleep, presumably the Mage King's, and an area to eat.

Veranus could not resist the urge to snatch the egg to her side protectively.

"I cannot thank you enough. For everythig.

If there was need for proper introductions, my name is Veranus Tigerclaw, last survivor of the Springing Tiger Clan, and a Runner from Hyperion.

The question is, who are you? Why did you help me?"

Seiyas' tail swished around in excitement. This was perfect! Well, not quite perfect, but a massive vault of knowledge was probably as good as she was going to get. All it was really missing, aside from trivialities like more places to store things, were work areas. She didn't think she wanted to mess anything up in here.

It occurred to her that she should probably 'claim' the area for herself, though not really to keep anyone else out, just... claim it. Unfortunately, she didn't have any skulls, broken weapons, tattered clothing, or other grisly reminders to make markers out of. She supposed some of her golems would probably be the best option, possibly crumpled against the walls to look kind of like bodies, but she didn't have any to spare right now. Well, not permanently, at any rate- any of her puppet golems could stand around as signs that she was nearby or still within the castle, she supposed, but she'd probably want to take them with her to travel anywhere beyond the castle's immediate surroundings.

Leaving a single puppet golem in the sleeping area to announce her claim, she decided to explore the books. On a whim, she decided to see if there was anything- anything she could read, at least- mentioning golems or similar servants.

Attempt to find and read golem books.

Added Forrel's turn, sorry about that miceclus.

Dwarmin: "You don't need to introduce yourself to me, little one, I already know who you are from our previous meeting. Although you have forgotten me, so I'll reintroduce myself. I'm Gram, Veranus. Tell me, little one, how did she die?"

Cicatrix hangs her head in defeat, slinking her way to the shrine. Fate had lead er to the runners, and then to Thanatos, but ever since entering into the pact her luck had been shot. No corpses at the butchers, the corrupted beasts melted into sludge, the Elf she needed for her plan had vanished...

The old Necromancer sits in front of the alter, deep in thought. "When you picked me for the pact Thanatos, was it simply because I fit the physiological requirements, or did you have something greater for me in mind?"

Cicatrix continues, absentmindedly running her left finger across her corrupted right arm. "Forgive me if I ask too much, but if you have rules for me to follow or quests for me to partake in I would like to know of them soon. I bear in my mind now the seeds of a plan. A plan, that by my pathetic mortal scale, is ambitious, frightful, and world changing. If there is anything that might offend you, or any block of time where you need my full attention... well I'd hate for my ambitions to draw the wrath of a god."

Cicatrix sits patiently, wondering if the deity would even bother to respond. Long ago Cicatrix had come to the conclusion, supported by her interactions and discussions with many holy men, that the gods cared what mortals were up to. If Thanatos remains silent Cicatrix has every intention of setting the wheels of her scheme into motion...
