Well he's dead, so there shouldn't be any trouble with cutting his head off...

Take his head and head back to the town.

Cicatrix sighs. If the child wanted to leave she wasn't going to stop it. Part of her hoped that she wouldn't see it again, but she knew deep down that just as fate had lead her from her captors and to Thanatos, the universe had planed further interaction between her and the child.

With a shrug and shake of her head the Necromancer pushes the child from her mind and turns to seek out Cyrano. Cicatrix shoots  the large mercanary a grim smile. "What was that all about Cyrano? I find it strange that anybody would attack an abandoned village, and even stranger that they would attack a village knowing that you are around."

"This attack wasn't aimed at the village or myself, we were just things in the way of their real target. I didn't see their target though, so I lost my opportunity to get rid of it before anything bad could happen."

"They must have wanted it dead quite badly to even try to get through you. I wonder what they could have been after..."

Cicatrix turned and began to focus on the corpse of one of the fallen attackers. "Though if they were elves, I have pretty good idea as to what it was they were trying to get rid of."

"Elves? Well I guess you are blind, so you wouldn't know. These were beasts sent by dark ones. The dark ones are after one of their own, can't say I know how one got out or why they're after it though."

Attempt to solve the puzzle door and survey the fortress, being wary for traps.

Cicatrix lets out a low whistle. "If the dark ones are fighting amongst themselves..."

The necromancer shuddered at the possibility. "I don't know about you Cyrano, but all this excitement has me wide awake for the moment. Is the forest more dangerous than usual after dark? I could use a nice walk to calm down..."

"It's no more dangerous than it normally is, the only difference is that it goes from daytime predators to nighttime predators. I'm not quite sure which I find less pleasant yet."

"Right. Well I wont wander too far from town. No point getting myself killed after all I've been through tonight."

The necromancer pauses for a second before speaking again in a hushed voice. "You and your boys don't have any use for whats left of the Dark One's hunters, do you? I'd love the chance to work with those corpses..."

Action: Enchant some plants at the edge of the abandoned village to lure and trap small animals. If Cyrano allows me, load the corpses on the cart. Get to sleep.

"This stuff is too corrupt to eat, so take whatever you want. Set up some traps while you're over by the forest, we'll pay you for anything edible caught in them whenever you visit."

    Forrel de Yahmiz(night)
Forrel takes a moment to think, then grabs an axe that was lying around inside the hut. He raises the axe with both arms, but succumbs to the pain from his arm being stabbed earlier. This was the first time since Hyperion he had taken any notable damage, so Forrel took a moment to rest. He sits on the bed and surveys his surroundings. If he hadn't known this was all stolen property, Forrel could have easily mistaken Johnny as an accomplished adventurer.
There are trinkets, battle trophies, and pelts from the most fascinating of beasts. Further inspection reveals that these are heirlooms of the villagers, so this is, in fact, the scourge of the village he had heard of. Forrel, recovered from his pain, takes a much safer approach and simply steps on the axe while holding it to the throat a few times. The head is rather... damaged from the haphazard decapitation, but it's still clearly the pirate-like visage the bounty poster shows.
Forrel has to abandon returning any of the heirlooms personally, as Johnny is simply too heavy for him to carry with anything else, but his eventual return to the village leads to him telling everyone of his triumphs. He collects his 150 gold from the absolutely delighted receptionists, then returns to the caravan.
Forrel falls asleep with Luren as the caravan departs from the village.
    Cicatrix special
Cicatrix takes Cyrano's advice and finds a few plants favorable for modifications. In exchange for setting up said traps, the mercenaries have provided her with a cart and are loading bodies on it. A few of the larger plants are turned into golems to aid the mercenaries in defending themselves, rather than traps. But it's only now that Cicatrix realizes she's seeing her creations. She can even see her own body, yet she's still blind.
Thanatos has already left his avatar, and Cicatrix had no plans of angering a god, so she drops the subject, but is still happy at the revelation. She returns to the borrowed houses, and sleeps on the bed. It reeks of corruption outside, but Cicatrix had little care for what the strange new scent was.

The high elf drags herself out of bed with a yawn. Today would be productive.

Action: Point out the traps I made to the mercenaries. Return to the Hub. If Cicatrix makes it back without incident examine the corrupted corpses for any notable features or natural weapons, then check in on the queens and see if any new bugs have been produced.

Do you want an action? There really isn't much to do for you other than interact with merchants right now.

((@Note, Cicatrix was the last person Veranus spoke too and informed of her plans, to be back the previous day. If she wants to tell anyone and maybe organize a search party, or merely cackle in glee at Elf Huntress having met her doom, is up to Weirdsound :P ))

Seiyas was excited. She felt she'd finally worked out most of the kinks in her efforts, and was restless and eager to try them out. Sitting here in the castle hadn't accomplished anything, but even a functional prototype might.

Wander outside looking for loose stone. Attempt to shape a paricularly large piece into a lionlike golem shape. If successful, attempt to animate it into a mindless, combat-capable stone servant. If unsuccessful, keep trying.
