Ba withdrew his weapon, forcing it to lose shape and become near immaterial as it was drawn back into his heart. "It was a good match, and you fought well, but your men shouldn't have entered the field. They could have gotten themselves killed if they received a blow intended for you." Ba wiped the small line of blood from under his eye. "It wouldn't have changed the outcome, but they should know better than to intervene in such an even match when your involved. I wouldn't have wanted their blood on my hands."

Ba turned to go to the capital. "I hope we meet again, but right now I need to find someone that might be lost in the capital." Concentrating on his white chain tattoo he started walking to the gates.

Go to the capital, and find out where the chain leads.

"My men are smart enough to know how to block a sword and axe, ya smart alack. But if you're going to the capital, you're out of luck if you're going alone. Only authorized personnel have the authority to activate the gates to the capital. I can take you, unless, of course, you want to walk there."

Ba was caught off guard at the comments, but he took the comments in stride. "I didn't know the gates to the capital were closed to the public. Would you be willing to activate the gates to the capital?"

Seiyas nodded.

"Alright, I'll go find a good place and make the body. I'll let you know how things are going from time to time."

With that, she gathered up all the tools and walked off.

Have golems carry tools and follow. Explore castle looking for bare stone that looks high-quality, but doesn't seem to be important.

Cicatrix waits until Seiyas is long gone before turning her attention to the Avatar. "Thanatos, if it is worth your time to answer, I would like to know if that fungus is serving any function while it is on the Avatar..."

She shrugs. "I doubt something that corrupted can be purely cosmetic."

Cicatrix nods. "Figured as much."

Action: Check on the bugs. If there is a new batch of hatchlings, mutate them to produce a venom that lulls its victim into a deep sleep and induces lucid dreaming. If there are no new bugs modify the familiar instead. If there is time after mutating them examine the fungus on the Avatar.

Organize a team of full time miners to use the collected tools so we can have a steady supply of ore. Head back to the Urist fort and ask them if they know anything about the apple and what it did.

    Brier mini
Brier manages to teach some of the resting civilians what little he knew of mining. Luckily, Brier can sense the ore deposits growing faster than they can mine, so there's no wasted materials to worry about while they're learning. While surveying the new miners, Brier wanders back to the statue room.
The statues seemed to be in worse shape than his last visit, but it wouldn't be incredibly noticeable to anyone who wasn't a deep elf or dwarf. When he asks his question, he's told that the apple is a parasite. When consumed by its victim, it destroys the body and reconstructs it into something more suitable to house its body. For the rest of the host's life, the parasite leeches mana. There's no way to get rid of the parasite without killing the host, so the Urists warn him not to tamper with it.
    Veranus mini
Veranus searches for Asa to find some answers. A long conversation yields what she was seeking.
The residents were slaves to a faction of reactionary psychopaths who disapproved of the guild system and were trying to build a country led by their leader, who is now the most wanted criminal in the two habitable realms. The first slaves were captured from guild villages, and later generations were a mix of people born into the caste, captured in wars, or kidnapped from within the "empire." In recent years, the leaders of the CGA have started sending mercenaries to free slaves, and assassins to take out the "nobility"
    Forrel mini
Tince and the high priest help Forrel get to the CGA building. It's large, and very finely created. The detail put into building this structure can be seen very clearly, even through the blizzard. Heavily armed guards who look no less powerful than the mercenary leader Forrel saw with Tince before leaving help the trio into the building, where a receptionist greets them. Tince handles the details, and a secretary arrives to bring the papers to a guild leader.
Forrel notices a board not present in the other guild building he was in. It seems to hold Priceless Bounties.
    Cicatrix mini
Cicatrix, impatient as ever, becomes increasingly frustrated at the lack of hatchlings, nearly smashes her queens in frustration. Her royal tantrums were legendary, but she calms herself. She wasn't a ruler anymore, she can't go doing things like that when there's work to be done. She decides to pass some time calming down by inspecting her familiar. The thing isn't terribly suited for combat, and seems like it would fall apart if something as weak as a lesser goblin slave got its hands on it. She makes its stinger-like tail and actual stinger, and has it produce a sleeping toxin to give it some form of defense.
With that out of the way, she looks over the avatar's new butler suit. Upon touching it, she absorbs a small bundle of knowledge. The suit seems to act as a type of shield, absorbing portions of both physical and magical damage. The avatar didn't perform spectacular movements either, so none of the movements it does is hampered. The only issue Cicatrix can find wrong is that it keeps her from modifying the avatar for her own personal use, and there's no way to remove it.
    Ba'gandi mini
Ba and Cyrano reach the gates. Cyrano talks to a woman who seems to be attending the gate, then comes back after flashing some kind of card at her. After a short wait, the portal in the gate opens, and the two go through it. Outside the portal is a small island, cluttered with other gates of varying shapes and sizes. Surrounding the island is nothing but a black void. There are other people on the island, but they seem intent on staying for as short a time as possible.
Cyrano leads Ba through a gate with an attendant who seemed exactly the same as the one he just saw guarding the gate they came through. She turns the gate on, and Ba steps into the blizzard of the capital. When Ba inspects his white chains, he notices that a second has formed. He can either go north, or east.
    Seiyas mini
Seiyas has her dolls golems carry as many tools as they can, which doesn't prove to be many. The dolls are simply too small to carry more than three each. The rest is hauled by Seiyas herself, who's none too please that she has to do such a thing. After a while of wandering the outer walls of the buildings, some people offer to help carry everything, to which Seiyas, as cheerfully as she can, agrees.
After a while of wandering, Seiyas has to thank her helpers and give up on finding any stones. There were simply no areas with a usable amount of bare stone, and she was beginning to get tired of wandering. She and her group of people take everything to the study where she's more comfortable.

Brier raised an eyebrow and frowned.
"Huh. Around how much mana would that be?"

Ba held his nose to the air. He knew that it had been days since he saw Veranus, and that the chances of smelling her inside a city were incredibly bad, but he tried anyways. It didn't matter. He had chains to follow, and one of them may lead to her. Ba turned to Cyrano, "It seems like I have two chains to follow now. I'll be heading north, but I'll likely follow the other after. Should we meet up later, or are you coming with?"

Head north.

"Ah, I see. Before I leave, i have a question about becoming 'Enlightened'. Do you mean simply gaining some form of knowledge, or is it deeper than that?"
