Cicatrix blindly makes her way back to her house. She walks with a confidence and sure step that would cause all but the most perceptive to question her blindness.

She murmurs to herself in a strange combination of several tongues and languages until she detects Ba coming down the tunnel in the opposite direction. Too blind to see any small changes to his form, and too jaded to care about the more obvious ones, she calls out to him in a cheery tone.

"Ba! How good to see you up and about! I can't speak for your power as of yet, but it seems the trip to the soul realm hasn't hurt your timing. I was just going to check on you! How do you feel?"

Ba was happy to see Cicatrix, even if it meant that he had to tell her the truth. Ba called back in a somber voice. "I feel great, but how long have I been dead? It felt like months while I was in the spirit realm. I hope I didn't keep everyone here."

Cicatrix shrugs. "A day or two. I didn't bother telling anybody, and nobody so much as noticed your absence... Of course nobody but myself noticed the huntresses absence either. She still hasn't returned from chasing that last Ogre down."

The old necromancer laughs grimly. "No point raising the alarm until the bugs I sent out return with her location. I trust you'll be ready to save her life or avenge her death when the time comes Ba."

"There's something else I need to tell you... I used you to get to the spirit realm. To get more power." Ba lifted his head up. "After walking for what felt like months I started thinking about why I wanted power. To blindly kill things with it would be cowardly, and it would be against everything I grew up with." Ba gestured with his hands, even though Cicatrix probably couldn't see his hands anyways. "I want to protect everyone, but I don't intend to kill anything unless it's necessary. I may not be able to help with your corpse gathering anymore. Even if they are merchants."

Cicatrix stops short. This was unexpected. "I see."

She remains silent for a moment, pondering the implications of his words. "As long as you continue to seek power I care not what ethics you bind yourself with. In the short term this creates some problems, as I've been trying and failing to get my hands on a corpse or two the whole time you were dead..."

She sighs. "Luckily my long term plan calls for more nature magic than it dose Necromancy..."

"I also ran into something rather interesting while I was dead." Ba paused for a moment to catch his breath. "I met with Hyperion. He lost his body, and has been trapped in the spirit realm."

Cicatrix nods. "I had a feeling something like that happened to him. No way in hell that old softie could have grown a pair and killed the giants on his own accord... Never would have dreamed you'd bump into him though."

She scratches on her nose in contemplation. "I trust the fool is content to sit where he is and watch the carnage carried out his name?"

"Terribly sorry, excuse me for my mistake; I've not been in this realm for long. But I think I would like to learn the tongue myself...Would that be proper?

"The tongue itself cannot be learned, but you can train yourself once you possess it. But alas, it is not up to me whether you are given the tongue or not. Follow me to the high priest's office, and he'll decide whether or not you shall receive the tongue."

"He's aware of it, but I don't think it's what he wants. He said he'd rather die than return to his body now. I couldn't blame him for not wanting to return. He also said that he was waiting for a disciple to pass knowledge onto, but he didn't want to talk about what he was passing on."

Ba scratched at his face, while his tattoo moving around as if to avoid his hand. "I think he may not be the fool we think he is. I'm still wondering who his disciple will be though."

"Oh. He's not. His worldview is just about as far from my own as you could possibly get." Cicatrix spits on the ground. "I don't care for him is all."

Cicatrix shakes her head. "Anyways, now that you are up, would you mind going for a stroll with me in the woods? It rained not so long ago, and I'd like to gather some fungus while it is still nice and damp out."

Action Change: Head into the woods and search for Fungus/Lichen. The goal here is to gather as many different species of the stuff as possible, not just a huge amount of one kind of mushroom.

    Veranus Tigerclaw
Veranus falls asleep, and after a short rest wakes up in a different room. A note on the table next to her tells her that she can roam the hall as she pleases while her equipment is being repaired and improved.
    Forrel mini
Forrel agreed to see the high priest, and is led to a small study where an old man wearing less bland robes than the monk is eating a fairly small loaf of bread and an apple while reading a large book. The monk has a small conversation with the high priest and walks out after giving Forrel a quick, courteous bow.
"As I hear from my disciple, you wish to receive the tongue, yes?"
    Cicatrix/Ba'gandi
Cicatrix and Ba quickly leave for the forest, and begin their search through it. They encounter several exotic fungi that couldn't survive in the physical realm, and large pack of small animals are found scouring the forest floor. Ba wonders how they survive when the only the other animals are all large and ferocious, but is cut off when Cicatrix wanders ahead.
A liger nearly spots the duo as they get deeper into the forest, but catches the smell of something more savory than the bony Cicatrix and chewy Ba'gandi. The two decide to return after the encounter, and find many fungi they hadn't noticed during the journey to.
    Seiyas Stormclaw
Seiyas quickly finds herself getting lost in the aisles of books in an attempt to find a method to improve her golems. There were several suspicious books she had to pass up, the most suspicious of which was a single book that had its own book shelf. She makes a note of where it is, and continues on, eventually finding the book she's been hoping for.
She pockets the book, then returns to the study with her prize.

Cicatrix returns to her house and drops all the fungus on her bed with a slight laugh. "One of these has got to work for what I have in mind..."

The madwoman then swivels around to check the nook where her bugs live, to see if the scouts have returned with information on Veranus.
