    Brier
Brier wakes up, finding himself in the unfamiliar dwarven construct. He remembers what he was doing before he went to sleep, and takes a look at the puzzle door. It's rather simple, he just needs to move the piece into place. The only problem is that the pieces are all large than Brier.
He spends a great deal of time just trying to move the pieces, but the door eventually opens. There is a sign in the old dwarf tongue Brier is quite familiar with giving directions. There is an armory and and blacksmith quarters consuming the east wing, and what appears to be a commoner's quarters in the west wing. Further into the central building is the clan leader's personal quarters, his personal armory, and the grand meeting hall. The barracks is apparently outside the fortress entirely.
    Veranus Tigerclaw
Veranus wakes up exhausted, and in some sort of building. Veranus feels unfamiliar clothing on her body. When she looks around, she sees a maid tending to her equipment, while a doctor simply sits by the doorway. There are no weapons within reach, and the doctor appears to be talking to some guards, so violence won't get her anywhere.
    Forrel de Yahmiz
Forrel wakes up to the sight of a rather large city. Tince informs Forrel that they'll be staying here in preparation to enter the capital. This is apparently an area it always stops at on its trips.
    Cicatrix Greywood Greenflower
Cicatrix tells Cyrano about her traps, and he just laughs. Nobody ever fully understood why he takes everything so lightheartedly, not even his most trusted men. With the cart loaded and attached to her golem, Cicatrix leaves the village and very quickly reaches the Hub. Very few beasts were sensed, making for a rather pleasant trip.
However, by the time she checks on the corrupted beasts, they had all melted into a single blob of corruption. It's far too concentrated to use as a weapon that wouldn't damage her in the process. Though it could theoretically be used for something more practical, but that would require Cicatrix to delve into alchemy. She had tried many years before she was imprisoned, but the convoluted recipes, lack of any direction, and loss of time to practice, leaves that path as a dead end.
    Seiyas Stormclaw
Seiyas awakens from a rather long nap. She looks around, and recalls an elf woman selling some form of plain... thing. It was made out of rock though, which could easily be used to make a nice little golem. Disappointed at the lack of any sort of viable pick to pry larger stones for better golems, Seiyas settles for simply seeking out the larger loose stones.
One stone in particular manages to catch her attention. It absolutely radiates with natural mana, which she immediately shapes into a small, lion shaped doll. She pours mana into it, bringing it to life almost immediately. Seiyas spends the rest of the morning trying to program her house cat sized rock lion into a battle doll, but barely manages to finish before she nearly passes out from overuse of her mana.
Looks like magic won't be an option for the rest of the day, but Seiyas is rather proud of her small triumph.

Cicatrix sat, poking the the liquified beasts with a stick. "You just had to pick a fight with Cyrano, didn't you?"

"You were trained and prepared to hunt a Dark One."
The high elf sighed. While in power she had always berated her Necromancy students for talking to corpses. How the mighty have fallen. "I can't say what your odds of succeeding would have been if you didn't run into Cyrano. Life is just unfair like that."

She places her hand on the wheel of the cart and shrugs. "If you fight something bigger than yourself straight up you are going to lose. When sheer force, magical or phyiscal, eludes you one must fight with intelligence. Turn the power of the powerful into just one more weapon to use against them... But you were too dumb to do that, so here you are, dead and at my mercy."

Cicatrix chuckles to herself a bit before falling silent and allowing a huge twisted grin to spreads across her face. The beginnings of an idea, so terrible and ambitious that nobody else could dare dream it up, begins to take root in the sorceress's head. "Ohhh Hyperion, mighty and formidible, unleashing me back onto the world will prove your undoing!"

With those words the blind madwoman leaps to her feet. "I must find that huntress lady! I can only hope that her desire to slay Hyperion outweighs her better judgement!"

---

Some time later Cicatrix was furious. Veranus was nowhere to be found. What catches her eye instead is a girl. Her body was constructed in an interesting fashion, and Cicatrix sensed that she was part bug. Judging from the fact that she was working with a stone Golem this strange woman must have some magical potential.

Cicatrix cleared her throat loudly and leaned against her large Chimeric flesh golem for effect. "Excuse me dear, but did you make that toy yourself?"

Seiyas turned around with a pleased expression, which faded upon noticing what the creature speaking to her was leaning on. She made a mental note to quarry out a block of stone the size of a room sometime.

"Yes," she answered fairly neutrally, eying the elf's dark eyes and maimed arm. "I'm hoping to get better at it, but I consider this one a great success, for its size."

"A success indeed. I can tell you did a fine job. I'm also sure you would have done better if not for lack of good materials. You don't have to make excuses to me. I understand these things, to an extent." Cicatrix smiles, clasping her bony fingers together. "Those who shape their golems as Lions tend to be proud and hungry for glory. Food for thought."

The ancient elf continues to grin. "I used to make Lions when I was younger, before I figured out that the wise can judge a mage simpily by merit of the shape of her constructed servants. Nowadays I usualy take my corpses in whatever shape I find them. All that can say about me is that I am pragmatic."

Cicatrix abruptly cuts herself off by cracking her knuckles loudly."I'll cut to the chase then. I'm blinder than a cavefish so excuse my bluntness but what exactly are you? And for how many years have you existed?"

Seiyas tilted her head slightly at the elf's assessment. She hadn't particularly thought of herself that way, but both qualities did seem to apply. Maybe she was more perceptive than she appeared.

Regardless, she straightened proudly a bit at the question, despite the elf's easy to believe claim that she couldn't see such a thing.

"I am of the Sharduk, scourge of the wastes. Before the coming of Hyperion, we were feared as death itself. I have existed eighteen years."

"I am more of a forest person myself, but I have been around long enough to have had some dealings with the Sharduk in my past, just not since having lost my sight. No need for the flowery description dear, I know and respect what your kind is capable of." Cicatrix chuckles, stroking her golem.

"People were so afraid of yours truly they locked me away for about eleven times the length of your life so far." The necromancer slides onto the floor and takes a seat. "Truly there is no greater blessing or more terrible curse than to be feared... Though I somehow doubt you are personable enough to milk the blessing bit."

Cicatrix places her hands on her lap and blindly stares at the ceiling. "I am lady Cicatrix Greenflower, but I'd be shocked if my name meant anything to someone of your modest age. I practice the magics of life and death. So tell me girl, how deep dose your hate for the Titan run?"

A city. Forrel had not seen one for sometime; always hiding or running...It reminded him of home a little...Course home was a city of stone and clay, built on the ocean itself. Still, a city was a city.

Forrel looked at Tince and asked him sleepily, "What's this place called? Also, is there anything important in it?" Forrel then yawned and looked over at Luren.

After getting an answer, Forrel will and head out to the city. Leave Luren; too dangerous to bring her.

Seiyas paused, taken slightly aback by both the elf's apparent age, and her somewhat grim prediction. It seemed she was in the presence of a capable elder, and the realization made her slightly anxious.

She paused again at the elf's question, though for entirely different reasons. Her brow furrowed as she tried to wrap her mind around it. Hate? She was familiar with the emotion, but...

"I... want to see him destroyed, but I don't know that I hate him overmuch. He's an enemy, but otherwise I don't feel much... hate, exactly. Why do you ask?"

She woke up in pain...and rage...

What is this? Why am I alive? Why am I wearing these strange things? Where am I? Where was the egg?!

Veranus grimaced. She needed answers. Now. The Healing-Man was occupied with the guards...

She staggered to her feet, looking around, and grabbed the slave-woman that was plundering her equipment by her collar. She was so weak, she could hardly keep a grip.

"You shall not gain a trophy while I breathe, vulture.

Tell me where I am! Who are you people? Why did you bring me here? I swear to the Gods, if you harmed the egg..."

"That is an interesting answer. I guess its the same for me." Cicatrix pauses for a second. She liked this girl already. At 18 she was powerful enough to be useful and young enough to be molded. Her species was known for its cruelty and will to survive, so it was quite likely the girl's worldview and moral code was not too far separated from Cicatrix's own. "Hate is another one of those things that is both a blessing and a curse, it can be channeled into great and terrible things, or exploited by others to manipulate the hateful one."

The madwoman begins scratching at her heavily scared face. "I'm just asking to try and determine what role you will play in Hyperion's end. We will not be running forever. Perhaps this question will help me a bit more... How far are you willing to go to end Hyperion? Is there any line that you would not be willing to cross in the name of his destruction?"

The old elf shifts her tone to a more matter-o-fact one. "Please understand that I am not some elder, here only to give obscure advice and prophecy. I am a schemer, and when I plot my allies often end up doing things they wouldn't otherwise. Just know that I am too weak an socially vulnerable at the moment however to force my brand of change and power onto anybody who doesn't want it, so I can be trusted regardless of how you answer."

"I'm not interested in self-sacrifice, if that's what you mean. I am willing to accept some loss to see him gone, but only if the price is worth it. As with any enemy."

"I'm not refering to self sacrifice, not in the life and death sense anyways." Cicatrix slowly rises to her feet once more. "I think I know enough about you for now... If you need me for anything I'll be in the small house made from plants in the main hall... usually."

The elf blinks. "Now then... what was I doing before I bumped into you dear... oh right the Huntress. I'm getting worried about her. I must be going."

With that the blind sorceress hops aboard her mount and rides off down the corridor.

---

Sometime later Cicatrix storms into her house. After talking with several of the other runners she had determined that Veranus had yet to return to the hub. "Just when I am inspired with a plan to put her to use, she vanishes!" the madwoman howls. "Take wing my tiny slaves! Scour theses woods and find the huntress for me and report back with her status and location! Be she dead or held against her will, woe onto the ones responsible!"

Action: Cicatrix will deploy the drones to look for Veranus. She is pissed, so she will deploy the soldiers as well. Check on the queens and mutate any new batches of bugs into specialized scouts, deploying them to help look for Veranus as well. While waiting to hear back from the Drones Cicatrix meditate with her corpse detection at the entrance to the Hub, trying to find a distant large corpse or graveyard.

Miceclus: "This is the city of Holod. It's theorized that the reason Capital Island always stops here is because the pit Holod is built in is the pit Capital Island used to occupy. This place is really far from your home, it would've normally taken weeks to get here!"

Dwarmin: The doctor gets up and throws Veranus back onto the bed and holding her down. With her new vantage point of the doctor, Veranus can see that he's wearing a large cloak, and is elven. Two strange swords she hadn't noticed before dangle at his side, and he's unusually powerful for a healer. He begins shouting.
"Relax elf! If we had cared about your blasted phoenix egg we'd have just killed you where we found you! If it were up to me, I wouldn't have even bothered bringing either you or the egg! Blasted leader, forcing all these nuisances on me...
The elven healer chains Veranus to the bed, then walks away rambling about his problems. The maid, already recovering from the attack, kindly tells Veranus to inform her if she needs anything. The maid had seemed almost completely undeterred by what Veranus had just done to her.

Veranus strained against the shackles. Just like before. She was a prisoner again. Why?

She noticed the slave woman was not stealing her equipment, but trying to help her.

"I'm sorry for harming you. I let myself become a beast, and for that I can only ask your forgiveness.

Anyway, I guess I could use some water, if you think I deserve it.

Also, can you tell me anything about this place? You do not have to-I know they might hurt you if you tell me, and I would not have that on my head."
