BrierBrier gets off his bed, and inspects the stones by the oven first. There are no pits for wood in the actual oven, only a small cradle, and the top seems to have a similar cradle with grates covering it. A vent similar to those found in his homeland hangs above the oven, though it's currently closed.
He looks at the stone cradle, and picks up a yellow stone. He can't make heads or tales of what it can do, so he places it back in with the rest and begins searching for a manual of any sort. A somewhat long search reveals nothing, but he finally finds the manual hidden in some bizarre crawlspace under a metal cradle with a hole in it.
Manastone Use
- Insert the proper stone in the proper slot. Yellow for lamps. Red for oven and stove top. Blue for sink.
- Turn on the generator in backroom 2.
- Allow mana to flow to the kitchen at the controls.
- Tap the yellow and blue stones once to activate and deactivate. Red stones are controlled through dials, only use when cooking.
- Always turn off the mana generator and remove the stones from their cradles when the kitchen is not in use.[/i]
Brier can't make heads or tails of where the generator might be, so he begins looking around. For hours he looks, but to no avail. The reptilian bird shaman, a combination that seems incredibly suspicious to Brier, tells him to meet at the courtyard, then runs off in some direction or another.
Brier goes to sleep after the courtyard meeting, dreaming of ways to open the doors without damaging them or the building.
Veranus TigerclawVeranus looks at the statue she'll be camping out under. It disgusts her to have to rest under something a conquerer of nature made, but until a better alternative is found, she'll just have to grow used to this scar, like all her others. It's decided, this is now her statue. Veranus sighs at the idea of being the master of a conquered piece of the land, but there are no other ways around it.
The dejected elf takes a stroll around the courtyard to gather information from other survivors. Perhaps that will ease her mind. The only things talked about are how to map out such a massive structure, and how long the group will be able to stay here before Hyperion finds a way to attack, even without the ability to come to this realm.
Or at least, that's all she heard until two old human scholars are found discussing the Mage King. He was apparently a halfling, part forest elf, part dragon. He was one of the founders of the dwarven Urist clan, and he created thousands of reservations to protect nature from those who might destroy it in the physical realm Veranus was born in. Even the forest she lived and grew in was one of his reservations. It seemed confusing that a man such as that would keep his castle under control. He created the greatest forests in the physical realm, so why are these plants so locked up?
A passing thought, right now Veranus needs at least a raised area to sleep on in her shelter. She finds a hammock in the barracks that seems up to her standards. She quickly hauls it back and sets it up under her statue, and is told by one of the other forest elves in the courtyard that a meeting was called for by some shaman.
Veranus goes to sleep after the meeting, bothered by what was discussed. Quickly passing, and turning into thoughts of her tribe.
Forrel de YahmizForrel spends most of his time gathering people for a meeting. He tells the deep elf who invaded the kitchen last, and rushes off to gather spirits from the garden before the meeting can start.

RP time. I'm not writing anyone's conversations for them, so you'll have to deal with these. If you talk to an NPC, that's going to be where I come in on these moments.
