Brier
Brier wandered around, noting that some medical rooms were opened. He places the more primitive Weave Cracker on the final door of the western wall, and places the new Cracker on the third door of the eastern wall. Moving around is still a huge pain thanks to that worthless heat spell, but who knows. It might eventually serve a purpose, or at least become strong enough to warrant such a strain on his health and mana.
He returns to his workshop to begin designing technomancy gloves that could bolster his powers. The design is based off of the first leader of the Urist clan's armor. It includes plenty of materials Brier conveniently lacks, but a conversation with Ba'gandi at some point revealed that there's a nearby cave. Luckily for Brier, he managed to finish the design in little time at all.
He travels the path to the cave, and is met with the gaping mouth of a behemoth. Well, that's what the cave looks like, at least. Having lived a dwarf, Brier can naturally sense metals, their quality, and how much of the metal is present. The ores in this cave seem to be growing in quantity, though. Something he had never heard of before. However, the cave is simply too dark after a point to explore without light. He'll need to return with someone who knows flame magic, or at least find a way to activate the light stones with his own mana.
Veranus Tigerclaw
Veranus chooses to abandon following the trail for a while to explore the small cave. The trail would be there for plenty of time, but something in this cave is calling out. There's nothing in terms of multiple paths, and there's very little light. Some glowing mushrooms offer what little sight she manages to retain. Halfway through, a heavy presence presses down on her, almost to the point of crushing Veranus, but quickly fades away. She continues, regardless.
At the end of the cave is an exit into a small, bright dome-like room. It doesn't seem to be naturally formed. In the middle is a stone, similar to the history stones she's seen in her dreams. The only difference is that this stone is complete blank. Veranus touches the stone, and suddenly wakes up outside the cave, with the entrance no longer there. Confused, she continues the hunt, feeling as though something important was just forgotten.
Forrel de Yahmiz
Forrel takes a look at the bounty. The criminal is a human male. He looks like your standard pirate, and the bounty details include that his name couldn't be found, so they call him Johnny. He looks weak, to be honest. Then again, Forrel realized he was probably weaker. More training transpires, and Luren tuckers herself out into a nap. Forrel was best suited to fighting with comrades, but he was determined to do this on his own. However, because he's become so weak from Hyperion's attack, Forrel decides to brand his new spear.
The only question was whether or not to make it an evolving weapon, or a living one.
Cicatrix Greywood Greenflower
Cicatrix returns to her insects, and turns her house golem back into just a house. The insects and eggs are all hurried inside by busy drones, and the queens saunter back into position. After a short wait, the eggs finally hatch, but, lo and behold, all that comes out are soldier grubs. This is exactly why Cicatrix hated insects, they just loved to bother her like this. With a feeling of defeat, she simply has the drones produce the mana. What she wasn't expecting was that the drones were still completely worthless and overdo the mana almost more than they did the silk.
A welcome byproduct, however, is the mana-rich silk they now produce. Perhaps some could be given to Brier for some proper clothing to be made, but that can wait until later. The grubs delight in the feast, and quickly grow to full size from drinking the mana.
One of the currently worthless soldiers is taken to be made into a familiar. It's twisted, grown, and filled to the brim with magic, and eventually some sort of puny, black, insect-dragon-like thing is produced. Cicatrix puzzles over how she could possibly have gotten to this point with the thing. It roosts on her right shoulder, almost like it knew it had to replace the previous iteration of the arm.
Ba'gandi Kashi
Ba had little to do. He stays behind at the shrine, trying to call back the massive being to ask about what kind of power he'd need to block out the dark ones, but to no avail. He simply meditates in the meantime. He can feel several oppressive presences. One is immediately recognized as Cyrano, then there's the dark one that took control of him which seems to be asleep now. There are two others. One is right next to the dark one, but another seems to be heading in this direction. It feels odd, but he puts it out of mind.
What astounds Ba is that the dark one and its nearby neighbor feel leagues ahead of Cyrano and Hyperion. Not even gods Ba had felt the presence of while maintaining a position as a wandering mercenary felt this oppressive. The more he tries to understand the dark one and its neighbor, the more drowned out everything else becomes. As Ba realizes the presences are about to destroy his mind, he barely manages to pull out of his meditation on time.
He returns to the hub to relax a little, but the presences being so near is... unsettling.
