The dungeon of birthing
« on: October 10, 2011, 09:36:07 pm »

SO, through a fun turn of events, people were thrown in jail and the entire fortress guard was sealed in the caverns to deal with the FB menace. Two of my incarcerated dwraves went insane; one is a babbling fool and the other is incredibly morose. I immediately released all other inmates manually to avoid further madness. The two that are incarcerated... continue to give birth. My dwarves need neither eat or drink, so while these poor souls' husbands yet live, they will eternally produce children for my fort.

Yay!

It's sad that this can't really be replicated without the no-eat and no-drink, since dwarves who are not a child's mother fail at caring for the baby, but an indefinitely imprisoned crazy should be, in vanilla, brought food and water if sealed in a cage rather than attached to a chain.

Now, if you seal off all of the exits, you can start an emergency populace, who spend all of their time training, and who can rip invaders to shreads and start over.

By the title of the thread my brain conjured up images of morbidly obese, bloated dwarven women suspended in the air with feeding bags, near constantly birthing new dwarves from a roiling, mutated cancer marked abdomen, hollow eyed butcherers slashing umbilical cord after umbilical cord.

Yes, this in a mere moment of glancing at a title...

That's nice.

I'll just go ahead and stay awake forever now.

I think that beats the pinkie pie in g-major video from the my little necro thread...

not by much though. It was a good contender in the Keep a DF Player Awake at Night contest.

Is it wrong that the "trap" link found me browsing the site and thinking "That game could be pretty cool, if it ever gets off the ground"?

The worse thing is that this thread has not been derailed yet and we've already had this come up.

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

It's basically what it sounds like - a giant, child-rearing perversion of nature...
