"A friend? You want me, your ruling monarch, as you friend?!"
The king stares at you, enraged.
After a few moments, he collapses back into his seat.
"Hah. You can help them, can you? I'm not sure they can be helped..."

"My sovereign, I did not mean to offend, only to say that together, we could much."

"And, majesty, I can help. I can improve their living conditions, their way of life and their health and education! With time, they could be as healthy as their employers and happy! They are not mere drones who are mindless, but human beings-yes lesser than rank than my lord but still humans- who can think, feel, and act. If during your reign the people of this fair country were to become healthy, happy, and educated, then who will they point to as the saviour? Not me, but you, my king."

King: 2
You: 3+1 charisma bonus

Resting his head on his hand, the king looked at you with renewed interest.
"You sound like you really believe you can pull this off..."
He looked thoughtfully at you.
"So, how would propose to do all these things? No doubt with a large portion of the treasury?"

"My lord, I need not use great amounts of the treasury, after all, I am a noble myself and I can supply myself with an income. I plan to teach, to feed, and provides homes. With this, the corrupt and greedy will be pressured into giving more to their employees...I will also provide education and food and lodgings. I just request that you put the word out, and that you use your great influence to help in the cause..."

The king looks hard at you.
"You really think you can, don't you."
Nodding at him, you resist the urge to run your sweaty hands on your trousers.
(6)
"Okay, you have my support. As long as you don't pull the plug on the treasury, I am behind you all the way with whatever scheme you can think of. Good luck."

After his meeting with the king, I will send my assistants to order a meeting with the bishop and the mayor. Once they are both gathered in the university, I shall bring forward a very cute and sickly child. I'll show them that the people need more food, education, and housing. Tell them the king agrees. Ask them if they can threaten the greedy employers or use their power to form protests and sign papers that will change the law or at least force employers to give their workers humane working conditions, better pay, and sick/maternal leave as well as pensions.

Turn 12: I'm so bad at this.

1. London- Tersr

Pulling the balaclava onto your face, (4) you whip your pistol and sword out. Pointing the pistol at one and the sword at another, you politely enquire as to what they are doing. (3) They want no trouble, and hurriedly leave.
RANDOM EVENT: (6)
A boy suddenly bolts past you, and rips the sword out of your hand. You give chase, but can't get any closer to him. What do you do?

Spoiler: Aaron (click to show/hide)

2. Oxford- micelus

Returning back to your house after the meeting, you try to get meetings with the bishop and the mayor. (2) They fail. These two important figures take no notice of your lowly assistants, (1+1 due to kings blessing ) even ignoring you in person.
Still satisfied with your earlier success, you return home and take a bath.

3. Manchester- Ultimah

Shaking your leg until the rat is persuaded to leave, you hurry down the streets to get back to your lodgings, for a long shower.
(3) Luckily the rat did not bite you, and no horrible diseases manifest themselves.

Spoiler: William Bucket (click to show/hide)

4. Cardiff- Riccto

(4+1 due to being an obvious revolutionary)
"Dire change? Well, I guess we would campaign more. Me personally? I would happily turn to violence. This country is shouting for change, and it needs a good wakeup call.
I-I-I probably shouldn't have said that."

Spoiler: Conrad (click to show/hide)

5. Dublin- Sinpwn

(4) You find a pen and paper with ease, and begin churning out slogans.
*would insert one, but can't think*
With a fist full of the notes, you begin to comb the city, leaving them in crowded plazas or shops. (6) You do very well, watching as many people read your notes, and their opinions seem to be altered because of it.

Spoiler: Conchobhair (click to show/hide)

6. Edinburgh- lawastooshort

Entering the nearest public house, you get one beer and drink it slowly, acting as if you have had more.
(2) Unfortunately you are a horrible lightweight, and get drunk after the one drink. Nobody understands your drunk ramblings, and you get thrown back to the street in the early hours of the morning.

Spoiler: Isaac Chesterton (click to show/hide)

Begin composing an epic and thought provoking harpsichord song about the virtues and benefits of revolution.

Sleep it off and then spend the next day practising drinking to try and raise my resistance. The revolution will be found in ale-houses!

After my bath, head back to the poorhouse and tell them about my meeting with the king and say that he said he'll help the poor! Say further that to do this, they need to put pressure on their employers.

Send Ann (female assitant) to the church and ask how's the charity doing.
Send John (male assistant) to the various shops and ask around if they're willing to join a group dedicated to the king and those in need.
