Find some paint, and then go to an inn in a workers' quarter of the city. Taking great care not to be seen, graffiti the wall, writing "Down with the King! Up with the People!".

Then find some place where I can observe the results, so that I can see if there are any obviously sympathetic people who might listen to my message. If there are, approach them and strike up a political discussion.

Turn 7: Buskin' and jazz.

1. London- Tersr

You take a sword and a pistol, (3) and the man agrees to give you a discount on the grenade for the bars. Having spent all your money, you leave the man's company.

Spoiler: Aaron (click to show/hide)

2. Oxford- micelus

Getting home, (5) you write a perfect article, persuading yet not pushy. You even manage to get a prime position in the university paper.
TRAIT GAINED: Influential: The folk of Oxford University know you well, support you and, hell, they practically worship you.
After this, you head to a salon, and ask around for rumours and news. (5) You get told many interesting things, including:
A riot is brewing. Oxford University is beginning to doubt the monarchy.
The king is visiting soon, with all his entourage.
Then you ask them of their views on:
Socialism- (1) Everyone seems to be very touchy about this, and no-one seems to want to answer you.
Capitalism- (4) People are all very happy to say there are very much against this, and that it is a terrible idea. Almost as bad as communism.
Nobility: (3) There are mixed opinions over this subject.
Lower classes: (3) Again, nobody seems to agree on opinions about these people.

3. Manchester- Ultimah

You circle the shop, going through back alleys and side streets, (6) and find what SEEMS to be the perfect way inside. A trapdoor exists around the back of the shop, leading to darkness below. You assume it leads to a cellar, which in turn will lead to the weapons.
So, which way will you take; front or back?

Spoiler: William Bucket (click to show/hide)

4. Cardiff- Riccto

Walking down the street with the mortar unobtrusively making you look pregnant, (3) you manage to find an abandoned building to stash the goods in. Leaving the mortar there, you return to the streets of Cardiff.

Spoiler: Conrad (click to show/hide)

5. Dublin- Sinpwn

Pulling up a stool and unfolding your harpsichord, you begin to play "The British Grenadiers". (4) Many people throw in a few coins, and you soon gather quite a crowd. They start humming along, dancing and get quite boisterous. Eventually, you are shooed away by the police, but not before making 4 guineas. (2) You may not have seen any like-minded individuals, but at least you made a nice profit.

Spoiler: Conchobhair (click to show/hide)

6. Edinburgh- lawastooshort

Grabbing a pot of paint from a DIY shop, you head to the workers part of the city to try and find a suitable establishment. (3) You are in luck. An inn is in a dip of customers, between lunch and dinner, and has a perfect blank wall for your canvas.
LUCK ROLL: (3+1) Nobody sees you, and you soon finish. Stepping back, you observe the result.
Some try to avoid looking at the image, while others seem to openly discuss it with their friends. (4) Finally, you see someone who seems to strongly agree with the statement, and so you approach him.
Getting into idle chit-chat about the advantages of Socialism, and why Alexander the Great should have been the Pope, you subtly question him further.
"So. What would you think if it were I who wrote that message?" you ask.
"What would you think of me if I supported it?" the man replies, looking uncomfortable.
"I would say..."
What would you say?

Check bullets in pistol and go find someone with a sword so we can begin sparring, with their consent.

Visit some old Ruffian Friends and fill their heads with some simple rhetoric, enough to get them fired up but not to take to the streets just yet.

"I should think you were a true man of the people, a man of my own heart: brave and noble of soul and as democratic as the Greeks themselves! I would say unto you: do you truly believe this to be right in your heart of hearts? Do you wish to act?"

Head back to the university and warn them not to harm/insult the monarchy. Tell them that we lose complete support from the people if we do. Also, try to get an appointment with the king when he arrives.

Head to the local church and discuss matters with the priest. A lunch with him talking about the matters of the realm and the troubles of the poor and needy. Ask him if the church could help me in setting up a poorhouse/charity.

Finally, head to a local poorhouse/orphanage and just talk with the occupants. Find out their living conditions, education, beliefs, and ideas on capitalism/socialism and what they of the king (I'm hoping for them to like the king).

(Just going to say now that my guy is a moderate, confused socialist. Just in case.)

Turn 8: Nothing of note.

1. London- Tersr

With a bullet in your pistol an the sword at your belt, you head to the Cavaliers Club, a club established specifically for gentlemen wishing to hone their fighting skills. (2) Everyone seems to be already engaged in a fight, or much more skilled than you. However, you feel that with a bit more looking, you could find someone.

Spoiler: Aaron (click to show/hide)

2. Oxford- micelus

Returning to the university again, you warn your "followers" to support the monarchy and not speak ill of it, at least, not for the time being. Then you ask whether you could have an audience with the king, when he arrives.
(6-1 due to it being the king and all)
Turns out the university wanted a learnéd man to visit the king, and so they happily agree to organise that for you.
Next on your agenda is visiting the local church. When you arrive you ask to speak with the priest, (6) who is very happy to talk with you over lunch. You chat with him about the amount of beggars on the street, and people who barely have enough money to buy food, both agreeing that something must be done, (4) and the church would fund any charity you set up to help these people.
Last on your agenda for the day is visiting an orphanage. As you talk to some of the children and staff, you build a picture of what the place is like.
The conditions are satisfactory, though far from sanitary, and very few of the children or teachers are educated. When you ask about capitalism and socialism, you only get blank expressions, as no-one in the building knows the meaning of those words. As for the monarchy ((my god you're being lucky)) (6) they all are very much in support of the king, anticipating his visit and looking forward to seeing the man in person.
After this visit, you return home, tired after a long days work.

3. Manchester- Ultimah

Looking into the darkness below and dropping some stones down leads you to believe that there is only a short drop to the floor. You fall down and land in the black. Feeling around until you find a wall, you then work around the room looking for a door. Finally finding it and climbing the stairs, you come to a door with light spilling from the cracks in it, which you assume must lead to the shop.
However, you can hear voices and know that you can't just sneak in at the current time. So how do you get into the shop, detected or undetected?

Spoiler: William Bucket (click to show/hide)

4. Cardiff- Riccto

Moving to the nearest tavern, you find the most drunk table, sit down, and begin spreading dissent.
"So, we're all agreed we're not being paid enough?"
The table seems to accept you, and grumble approval.
"And the living conditions are bad?"
Another grunt of approval.
"Even we could do better, couldn't we?"
"Yeh. Yeh. I cood. Yeh." One of the drunks takes control, convincing anyone sober enough to listen. You leave, having stirred the men up enough.

Spoiler: Conrad (click to show/hide)

5. Dublin- Sinpwn

Leaving the harpsichord at your place of residence, you again take to the streets to try to help the general public. (5) Stumbling apon yet another crime, you see an old man being mugged in a side alley. Remembering the last attempt at law enforcement, you again ponder how to approach the situation.
TACTICS: What do you do?

Spoiler: Conchobhair (click to show/hide)

6. Edinburgh- lawastooshort

LUCK ROLL: (1+1) The man looks sceptically at you, then speaks.
"Those are some pretty dangerous views you've got there. I think you'd better come with me."
Screw that. You pull out your pistols and take the shots.
BULLET-TIME: -1 due to difficulty of duel-wielding.
(3-1) (1-1) Both shots miss, and (1) the man turns tail and runs. Dammit.

Spoiler: Isaac Chesterton (click to show/hide)

@Micelus: Assassinate the King during your appointmet! Yes! It will probably activate the waitlist but your sacrifice will not be in vain!

Actually the populace might not be ready for that, but at least the harsh enforcement of security may turn them against the current regime.

Reload my pistols and as quickly as possible leave the vicinity and find a polite salon in which to discuss poetry and freedom. Perhaps like-minded folk could be found there as well, although I doubt it. Too keen on their bourgeois noble comforts!
