Read as much Greek and modern philosophy and political writing as the university has, hoping to give my political thinking a profound and unshakeable foundation. Freedom is the birthright of all!

Turn 11: Rats!

1. London- Tersr

You look for anything to hide your face, anything at all to conceal your identity. (3) You find a satisfactory balaclava, which you buy. You then look for somewhere where one might win a fight, (1) but can only find a pair of thugs advancing at you.
Uh oh.

Spoiler: Aaron (click to show/hide)

2. Oxford- micelus

Reading any material you can get your hands on, you try to build a picture of the king and those close to him. (5) You find a wealth of information:
The king is a strong Christian, believer in the divine right to kingship and firm socialist. He rejects any ideas of a commonwealth, and communism offends him. He has friends in very high places (naturally) including the mayors of most cities and business owners.
However, he does have one visible enemy: the mayor of Dublin.

With this information in your mind, you prepare for the appointment.
Next turn will be the kings appointment, an extended turn for you. No action needed.

3. Manchester- Ultimah

Left in the dark again, you edge towards the door, trying to ignore the pattering of small feet across the tiles. (2) Just before you get to the door you feel something climb up your leg, and can't help but cry out loudly. Hearing a commotion from the shop you dive for the door, fling it open and leave the area (5), having no further trouble.

Spoiler: William Bucket (click to show/hide)

4. Cardiff- Riccto

Trying to put on a more curious voice, you enquire as to whether this man may have any like-minded friends. (5)
"Others? Yes, there's a bunch of us. Sometimes we make the odd protest, maybe posting some letters, but nothing violent. We just want change, that's all."
Every nerve is screaming for you to reveal your mission to this man, although he sounds like a pacifist.
What will you do?

Spoiler: Conrad (click to show/hide)

5. Dublin- Sinpwn

Scouring the clubs and streets, you try to find the heart of the revolution within Dublin. (Doesn't need a roll)
Err. Sorry, but you're supposed to be initiating a revolution in a monarchistic country. Next to no people share your views, and even fewer want to express them. You find not one of these men.

Spoiler: Conchobhair (click to show/hide)

6. Edinburgh- lawastooshort

You read every single philosophy book within your reach, devouring the writings as if they were food. (4) You really get in to some of the texts, and gather lots of new ideas and inspiration, and yet all that reading has made you tired. You fall asleep satisfied.

Spoiler: Isaac Chesterton (click to show/hide)

Find a writing implement and paper. Begin writing catchy, but well though out messages that speak out against monarchy. Leave them inconspicuously in popular areas.

Nope. None at all. I'll probably have the conversation between you two before everyone elses turn, so you just wait.

Pull pistol and sword, aim at ones head, ask what they want, shoot if it's bad for me.

Go to the nearest tavern. Drink a beer, pretend to be drunk, and starting shouting about freedom and democracy and try to get people excited, or at least into some kind of debate.

Right micelus, let's get going.

Initial roll: (2)
"...Next."
The ornate doors of the local hall are pulled open and you are momentarily blinded by the light. Cascading through many large windows, the light illuminates the king. You can see he is bored, having seem many people before you, and he is nearly ready to close court.
"Well? Don't just stand there man! What do you want?"

"Your Majesty, I want to speak to you about the welfare of the lower classes...And the way they are mistreated. Have you noticed those children forced to work in the mines with no lights? Or the young women forced to give up their bodies to feed their families or of the inhumane rules and laws of the factories? I want to end it all. I want a better world, I hope that you wished the same."

The king sighed a long sigh.
"Of course I do. Don't think I'm not worrying about it every minute."

Getting out of his ornate chair, the king began to pace.
Every day, I think, What if? But people seem to get on, and things work".

"I can help them, I have connections. I just need a sponsor...A friend in high places who can keep the corrupt employers off my back. Majesty, we can solve these problems together."
