With complete certainty? No.

But with general theory? Yes.

Looking at Runesmith theres a flag called "Projectile". Could we in theory flag gobbos as tame and as "projectile" to be used for the dwarven force of good!

It could simply be that in a situation where there are a possibly limitless number of worlds, and that the motives of goblins in each of those worlds in variable, and vague at best that there can be no absolute truth on the subject of weather goblins are indeed good or evil.
In one world the goblins may actually be very helpful, defeating a brutal non-elf cleansing, stealing dwarves, and humans alike to save them from the elf menace, and eventually to fight the elves. While in another world they may be the antagonists simply killing and torturing their way through a life led by demons.
In addition the the player controlled fortresses have at times questionable ethics, and at others great prosperity, all of which may or may not be concistant with the non-player contorolled mountian homes makes things even harder to judge.
The complexity of this game makes it hard to draw the line between good and evil in many cases.

Quite so, that's why I've always thought (though I had not made that clear in my previous posts in this thread) that it's absolutely assinine to divide entire races on good and evil.

So then, am i to understand that we have all collectively come to the final conclusion of, "we don't fucking know"? Until further details are provided, i say this is the best possible course of action we can take.

All in favor?

Yep, now for the !!SCIENTIFIC!! part. We need to put a Snatcher and a Sieger in cages and throw them against eachother in the arena to determine their factions, then we'll have more info. If they ARE of the same faction, they just think stealing babies is good.

I will quote something here.

The angel of my ally is the demon of my enemy

I think this sums up the following statement, that every race comes with their own culture, based on their own government and traditions of people. Elves like eating people and growing trees, humans like going xenocidal and trading the crap out of people, dwarves like burrowing and building ARMOK KNOWS WHAT that kills everything (or just seriously maims it), gobbies like stealing babies and making gobby-world dark fortresses while attacking everyone and finally animal civs just like crapping everywhere.

AGREE?
