Theme get! Our setting is a large 1911 city, with comically crooked cops and Eldritch horrors coming out of the sewers at night. Now, on to choosing a main protagonist and antagonist. How aboutan inquisitive detective for protagonist and some sort of leader for the horrors and the corrupt chief of police as antagonists? What do you guys think of that?

Hm, perhaps the antagonist could be the once-good, upstanding police Chief, who is now not only corrupt, but actually posessed by some kind of evil force, which is slowly turning him into a monster?
Maybe he wears thick gloves to hide his claws, and keeps his police hat on to hide the beginnings of horns, or something?
And naturally the protagonist is going to be some kindof detective, since that's what the theme got named.

I vote for the protagonist being an extremely twitchy and paranoid detective who is the only one who knows about the abominations. He must also have an inhumanly long mustache and be named Laurence.

Both of those work for me. Laurence shall have a stache, and chief of police Simmons shall have claws and little horn nubs. Agreed?

It should start out innocently enough, with a theft that we are asked to  invesigate, or somesuch, and we find that the theft is connected to the larger plot of the corrupt, mutated Simmons, and it gets more eldritch from there.

Yes, it's probably a good idea to discuss the direction before I start! In approximatly 11 hours from the time of this being posted, I'll put the first sentence up. Also, there will be an OOC thread to discuss it after the first sentence goes up, in order to make this more of a collaborative effort instead of LOLRANDOM.

So, we've got a theft-investigation that leads to the trails of the real conspiracy. Maybe our protagonist could stumble upon a meeting of Simmons and his associates while looking into the theft. It would let us establish some secondary bad guys and hint at the identity of Simmons (unless you want him to be revealed immediately as well, but I think it would be more fun if it wasn't clear right away).
