The goal of this game is pretty much just to create a forum members made story. We'll start by choosing both a theme/setting, a protagonist, and an antagonist. I'd prefer if we did a more complex conflict than man vs man, but it's up to the majority! Basically, after the theme is chosen, I'll post a sentence to begin the story. Then the next person posts a sentence to follow up on mine. Then the person after that posts yet another follow up sentence, and so on and so forth until we believe that the story has reached a satisfying end.At that time, I'll bundle all of it into one and make a big "story post" that contains all of the sentences we posted. Up to 3 sentences may be posted per a turn. If somebody accidentally posts a "double sentence" in which 2 people respond to the same sentence, the first poster keeps his/her sentence and the other edits his/her out. I think that it should be interesing seeing multiple writing styles clash, and some weird story come out of it.

Ah, so it's like a 3 word or single sentence after single sentence story, only with some ground rules, brilliant.

So, just one sentence each? Meh. It's just going to end up as a LOLRANDOM mess as always. I'd prefer 1-6 or more sentences and someone who can veto stupid contributions.

Theme/Setting: Early 1900's Corto Maltese-ish world filled with adventure, danger and secrets.

Exactly! I'm hoping to get something really cool out of this. Now, we just need some people to set the variables, and we're off!

The Wild West?

Protagonist could be an average store clerk, his town having been taken over by banditos.

Antagonist should be leader of said banditos.

If the story does get out of hand, I'll be sure to slap some moderation on >_> If one sentence really isn't enough, I'll ramp it up to 3. How does that sound?

Ok, I changed the op to incorporate the 3 sentence rule. And I may be biased towards the western theme, since I like Red Dead Redemption so much. But it's up to the players! Just get some votes going on the theme.

I'm starting the story because I'm inpatient.

((We might want to wait for other suggestions. If this goes - you can do up to 3 sentences, not just one.))

Yes, let's get the red tape out of the way and get a theme that people generally like before the story starts. If you're impatient, just vote for a theme! We need a setting, protagonist, and antagonist. And yes, it's up to three sentences. I'm hoping to get the story started today. After the theme is chosen I'll post the first sentence.

Remember, there has to be a majority vote to use a theme. If there's a tie after everybody posts/votes, I'll roll a die to decide. So far there's one vote for western/store clerk/leader of some banditos, and 1920's big city/cops/horribly corrupt cops+eldritch abominations from the sewers. What's funny is that a western can easily be set in 1920 as well :D
