Oh hey, I remember The Eye. Good flick. Better than the US remake (which is kind of a given with Asian horror). Effective use of "jump" scares, like when she's in the hospital and there's a ghost woman murmuring something off at a distance, camera cuts to the main character's face for a second, then back and OH SHIT GHOST WOMAN RIGHT IN UR FACE

Also happy to see a hungry ghost on film (the attractive young woman licking the carcass with a long tongue).

I should remember to tune in for some of these, but I have work early on Sunday mornings.  :-[

Oh God... Azkanan... that Penisfish from the stream... I had a dream about it. IT WAS HORRIFYING AND I KILLED IT.

So does anyone have votes for next week? I'd vote for A Knight's Tale or Kung-Fu Hustle if The Thing still hasn't been procured by then.

Voting is still on.

I'm totally up for everyone chipping in £1 so we could buy a film a week :D.

Although, that may be a bit too far, HAH. Dowant The Thing at some point, though.

This would be a great idea.
Except, I don't care what the film is, don't know how to pay, and don't even use that currency! :D
Also, need my money to buy Donnie Darko. I will watch that movie many times more.

Under the Official System, everyone gets three votes, so you're safe voting for all three.
(Not that anyone cares! A structured system isn't really required when only a few people vote.)

And yes, the penis fish was terrifying. I am honestly glad it didn't appear in my dreams; I was worried it would.

I went into BHM... FHM... H... A big (inter?)national DVD store in the UK's second biggest city to buy The Thing today, but couldn't find the horror section. Sorry guys. :(

I did buy some new running trainers though. When I got off the train I decided to give them a little test run, so I ran for 10/15 seconds... I've been in agony for 20 god damned minutes now, on or off my feet. It's horrible. I hate you all for making me thing of shopping for anything.

Then check your library, that might stock DVDs. If not, maybe you could get the LOTR trilogy whist you're there, and you could stream yourself reading it to us.
