Question about using a world seed
« on: October 07, 2011, 08:40:33 am »

So I created a world and found a perfect site with everything I want, and my question is how I use a seed to re-create a world.  In other words, is it possible to re-create this same world exactly so I can re-embark to that site, and, if so, how?

Export worldgen information (either from Fortress mode using "export local image" or from Legends mode), then copy said information into data/init/world_gen.txt.

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.
