Recently I had been receiving between something of 1-4 Emails a day from what appeared to be that of the WoW Account Management Team. Declaring that I have done the most sinful thing of attempting to sell my WoW account. I would receive them from 3 different groups, the US server Group, the EU server Group and The BIG Headoffice of Account Management itself...

This made me laugh. Because the last time I had touched WoW itself was just before, what was it, their forth expansion release or something when I was still in Highschool and my room wasn't the "spare Room" of the House. 3-5 years ago if anything. So I thought, someone is trying to Phish my info or someone has hacked my account details. I went to Blizzard's main site, NOT through the emails link mind you but through Google, and checked on my account info. I then cracked up laughing, My Account information had been "Removed" due to inactivity and I would have to recreate everything. So I do, and send a message to the Account team about this Phishing attempt. Well at least Blizzard knew...

My Junkmail now deleates them thankgod but I would have had around 100 by now if I didn't...

This morning I log on to check my Emails...

WARNING! Selling Your RUNESCAPE ACCOUNT IS ILLEGAL AND YOU ARE BEING MONITORED BY OUR ACCOUNT STAFF!!!...

Or something like that, I just remember deleating it as soon as I saw the word Runescape. When was the last time I played that, when I was 16...... 8+ years ago. They can have my account... :P

So just a general warning to anyone Nooby enough to think that its real if they ever recieve something like this. ALWAY contact the group via their Support Emails via their MAIN WEBSITE that you accessed via going to the webpage by yourself typing it into Google or the Hotbar if you Still play that game or such. Don't be a noob and lose you 10 Level 80+ from something like this...

Yeah, I got similar emails a while back. Never played WoW, so I snorted and marked it as spam, unopened.

Some of those are pretty clever.  I got realistic one a while ago pretending to be from facebook saying I had 3 lost messages.

I get the warcraft ones all the time too.

Man, you guys are lucky. All I get are e-mails about getting myself pregnant "quickly and naturally".

I mean, if I got pregnant, that would be far from natural.

I actually fell for one of the Runescape ones. But I realized that it was a scam right after submitting my password, so I changed it on the ACTUAL Runescape page. How do they get a URL and site so close to the real one, anyways?

Maybe it's parasitic. It never loses its flavor because you eventually die from having your nutrients stolen by it.

Best was when my mom started getting them despite my WoW account being registered to my email account. :P
