Bite's not terrible against rock/ground I guess? It's physical special (I forgot that different types used different stats in gens 2 and 3 and dark was special) but it's Dark now (I think it was in Emerald anyway) so at least it's neutral against rock/ground. Plus he's probably relatively durable.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

But don't they only learn bite at level 17? I thought they learned Odor Sleuth at level 13.

Rover's attacks are bite, sand attack, howl, and tackle.  And no, he is not durable at all to be frank.  He's roughly about as fragile as Vishnu or Zippo.

But, he is a factor in my plan this time.  And I have an in-story justification for his levels in badass :P

Before we get on with the update, let me say this.  I do not play fair.  I do not play in ways that would constitute the word 'fair'.  But, you know what?  I think it's hard to argue with results.

Spoiler: Victory. (click to show/hide)

Also:  I want a new name for the thread, so give me your opinions.  This is taking a FAR different direction than I expected, so raging at the screen doesn't cut it :P

good. Honorable opponents are so boring.

I like the... I guess it would be somewhat dark, approach this nuzlocke is taking. My only recommendation would be re sizing character portraits to be roughly the same size.

continuing to watch with interest.

Working on it :P
Hard to find the portraits that work, oddly enough.

Nice work, that's a pretty neat strategy. Is the no-Rover-evolution thing so you have a good reason to swap him out later? Or just because it's a little hard to rationalize? Either way, that was a pretty neat way to bring him in.

Meh, I suggest we just box him now.

EDIT: Galick, if you want an image resizer, I found one here that seems to work pretty well.

Thanks Urist.  I'll put that to work in the next update then, and probably go through and resize all the ones in the old updates too.  Why box Rover though?  He's actually being useful (and yes, he WILL be boxed later most likely) but for now I want to keep him on my team if only to keep the roster almost full.

Stat changes are perfectly fair. It's a legitimate strategy, the AI is just retarded at countering it.

By the way, could I get some feedback on the writing if you're reading this?  Subject matter, prose, anything at all is fair game.  I can't get better without critique.

Should update later tonight, but I'm dealing with a repairman for my heater/airconditioner right now, so may be late.

Sorry for double posting, but no update tonight.  I have the screenies and everything ready, but due to a few events ingame, I want this one to be good.
